Is it true you can play the old Super Mario games for free on Switch?  Do you have to buy them?  I've suddenly missed not being able to play the classic Mario games.

you can play them but it isn't 100% free. you have to buy a Nintendo Switch Online membership. it's a yearly fee and not super expensive i guess when compared to some streaming services. but i was still annoyed that it was listed as free on the games section of the website. then when i got my switch and went to download there were more fees. i already bought the switch. https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online/

i'm a little bored with Breath of the Wild so i've been playing some of the older games.

I also play that Sim City game of my tablet. i kind of hate it though because it's so different from the classic version. does anyone know if there is a version that's closer to the classic versions where you had to try to attract residents to your city?

Thanks, Beth.  That's exactly the info I was looking for.  It's too bad it's only free if you pay for a subscription.    I feel the same way you do. Switches are already expensive enough without having to pay for extra things once you buy it.  I don't have that much extra money right now, so I'll have to wait and hope  Nintendo might release the games on a game card/cartridge for Switch.

I'm looking forward to Super Mario Worlds of Wonder.

Settlement Survival had a major update and broke all the mods I tried to play it vanilla but it's so difficult. Guess that's why it's "survival" and not "we have enough stuff"

is the PS5 worth it if i already have a PS4? i want to get some new games and they are available on the PS4 and PS5. i'm wondering if i should buy games for the PS4 or wait until I get the PS5.

I had that same dilemma. I ended up going for the PS4 games. I made my decision based on that, while I appreciate incredible graphics, they don't make or break a game for me. Some of my all time fav games had horrible graphics lol. That and that I'd like to get a Switch before a PS5. A nice bonus is that sometimes you can find the PS4 games on sale or in a bundle, or even free with tech purchases.

yeah i think i'll probably stick with the PS4 and get more games. also, i can really expand my collection more if i don't spend $500 on a new system too. i'll hold off until there's a lot of games that are only on the PS5.

So many games that look great are coming out I just grabbed Zoo Park Story which came out today. It's a cute little pixel game where you build a zoo. Also, big, huge, TREMENDOUS news - Burger Shop 3 has released an early version Burger Shop... man I've been playing those games for decades. Burger Shop 2 is my main jam. Burger Shop 3 was announced yeeeeeeeeeears ago! But the are just now putting it together. This early release uses to same graphics from 2, but they've said they are working on new graphics. It has all new foods to make and new customers. Hype!

Meee! I’ve been playing it like mad. It’s awesome. I’ve been loving the Wonder Flower sections where you get to play as other characters.

i'm still waiting on Super Mario Wonder to be delivered. maybe i should just download them from now on i like having physical copies though.

Hopefully it arrives soon, Beth3346! I prefer physical so I can share. I just beat it last night and am going back to find the levels I’ve missed.
