I found this poster at my local goodwill. Can anybody ID it? Is it actually vintage? Did someone make it? I don’t see any copyright date, and it’s in a frame so I can’t see what’s written on the back (can’t remove from frame without destroying it). It was just so cute I couldn’t leave it behind!

I recently stayed in San Diego at the Best Western Seven Seas. It's def a no-frills sorta place, but it was decent and less than $100.

I was going to suggest sending an apology message to the seller because you were clearly heated about receiving the wrong items, but after reading the most recent message you sent to the seller, I think you've burned your bridge.

In the future, I would suggest taking some time to think calmly and rationally, and keep to objective facts instead of being accusatory. I'm sure it was not the sellers intention to send you the wrong accessories in hopes that you "wouldn't notice". I also did not see anywhere that you corrected yourself for assuming they overcharged you on shipping. I would be very frustrated if I were the seller.

The most recent message you sent to the seller was just pouring gas on the fire. At this point, I would wait before you consider contacting the seller again. Maybe post here first if you plan to message them again? That way you could get advice from the members here on how to be more approachable and less aggressive in your messages.

Mine would probably either be MO Sweet Scoops or my MIB Princess Sunbeam.

I got Sweet Scoops at Savers (Value Village) in a bag with other G1s for $3.99 and I received MIB Princess Sunbeam for my birthday about 10 years ago from my aunt who purchased a bunch of MIB Princess Sunbeams when they were in stores and stored them in her attic. She ran a youth group called the Sunbeams, so that is why she bought them.

I wanted to take it, but it's been 10 years since I left a job, so the questions are very difficult to answer!

Oh my gosh I LOVE them!! I'm so sad they were never created! Pretty interesting they decided to include this art in the little book.

I received this adorable kit with a mini G1 Firefly and a mini book with some G1 art in it. This backcard art was in the book. I don't recognize any of these ponies' anyone have any idea who they are or what their deal is?

It's here it's here!! My box has arrived!! Ok, well it technically came yesterday. I heard the post person knock on my door as I was getting changed to go to work. I saw the package and knew immediately it was from my swap partner, Cricket! I got out of work around midnight, so I opened this box this morning. I'm so freaking in LOVE with this box!!

So after opening the shipping box, I pulled out this beautiful box (seriously, I love the colors!)

When I took the lid off the box, it was so exciting to see all of these beautiful gifts waiting for me!

And after neatly tearing through all of these packages (I loved the variety of wrapping styles!), here are the amazing goodies/extras that I received!

Seriously, the G1 hot chocolate!? Are you kidding me!? I am SO excited about this I just love it!! I can't wait to get into all of the chocolate, especially the Frozen egg. I've never had a Kinder egg or anything, and this seems very similar. The nail polishes and files are much appreciated! I have nothing on my nails now, so I think I'll have to try one of the polishes out soon!

And of course… the ponies!!

Flurry! Oh my goodness, she is so gorgeous, just look at that PINK hair! I cannot believe what great condition she is in!

Baby Brightbow. She is my first baby rainbow pony, which is a collection I have wanted to start for YEARS! Thank you for getting me the first of this set =) I love how long her mane is, I didn't realize that about the rainbow babies!

NSS Shady. She is a pony I've wanted since I watched the MLP Movie when I was a kid! I have SS Shady, and I've even (unsuccessfully) tried to de-flock a SS Shady. I can't believe I finally have her!

Baby Glider. So random that I have wanted her for so long. She's not really elusive or anything, I just always wanted her and never got her… until now of course  ^.^ I just love her symbol and I adore her neon green forelock!

Last but not least, High Flyer! I am SO excited about getting TWO wingers!! I cannot tell you how much I love wingers and I am slowly working to collect them all!

Cricket, you did an amazing job. I love everything in this package, I can't even explain how much! I feel so spoiled, I love that you found me such a variety of ponies! Now that I've been collecting for so long, I know it's tough finding ponies I don't have. But because of that, it makes each pony from my want list that much more meaningful. These are all ponies that I have wanted for ages.
Thank you so much for these ponies and all of the extras. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

I have received all 5 of my GORGEOUS cards!!

I already wrote about Ringwraith10 and ladybastilla (who sent the adorable puppy card and the pretty, glittery card with the pony ornament!).

Nessy_86 sent the Holly Jolly card, which is so cute and vintage-y. I actually loved it so much that before even receiving your card, I had bought these cards (they came in a variety pack) to send out to my family this year! We clearly have very good taste =)

SnorkMaiden sent the Season's Greetings card which is so lovely! I love the snowy village and it's just such a cozy feeling scene.

Finally, I received Xeevee's card, which is the very neat Rathaus in Germany. Xeevee, this card is so amazing. I love how personal it is, I made a point to show it to my family because it is just so cool!

Thank you everyone for the gorgeous cards!!

Pony Corral / Re: Can I quote you for my G3 research paper?
« on: December 09, 2015, 05:48:17 AM »
I remember walking through a store (Walmart maybe) and all of a sudden seeing "My Little Pony". I remember being shocked, I hadn't heard anything about it before. So I purchased my first G3 just because I couldn't believe they were back. I picked up Kimono. I was surprised mostly at the very different packaging, which was almost disappointing. The colors were very different, more bright and harsh with all the plastic instead of the soft, simple, pastel packaging I remembered. But the pony had similar eyes and you could tell it was made by Hasbro. I remember thinking why couldn't Hasbro have just used the same old molds? But I've got to be honest now thinking back, I'm glad they didn't. No ponies will ever be quite like G1s again and I'd rather a company not even bother trying. With that in mind, I am ok with what Hasbro did with the G3s.

They seemed to follow a similar pattern to the original ponies by releasing ponies in sets. However, I am never a fan of rereleases. I liked seeing different ponies, and the G3s just didn't have enough different ponies for me. But I don't think MLP collectors were exactly the audience Hasbro was going for. They are children's toys after all. I can sort of see how it was easy for kids to have a favorite pony that they loved and maybe wanted all of that pony. I see collectors doing a similar thing when they have "armies" of ponies.

By the time Core 7 came out, I was over the G3 fad. At this time, it seemed Hasbro was really focusing on the younger audience of children (which makes sense. They are a toy company after all), and they lost my attention. I never really got huge into G3s anyway. Beyond purchasing Kimono when they were first released, I purchased only a couple more MIB G3s from the store, and I think that was only because I picked them up for $2 or less.

Anything after that I haven't really paid attention to. The G3.5s are so odd, I just don't understand. It's like the focus group went from kids to toddlers. It was just TOO young. I think the G4s are doing a great job for Hasbro. They clearly have a huge following. For me as a collector? I'm not interested at all.

I got a card from ladybastilla that has an ADORABLE ornament in it! I just love it! I got another from Ringwraith10 with a sweet puppy which I totally love. <3

I mailed my cards yesterday. I'm so bummed because the postal worker is the GROUCHIEST postal worker I've ever met. I absolutely hate dealing with him, he's just so cranky. I of course sent some international cards and I know this year there is a beautiful wreath stamp for international letters, and they were completely out =(

I love hearing about all the different types of cards people will be sending! I haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm still debating between handmade or buying. There are a bunch of vintage stores I plan to go to by next week, so I am hoping to find something great there! If not, I've already gotten some ideas for handmade cards =)
