Dollyhair glow in the dark

Want to post this as a heads up for others. I ordered the Dollyhair glow in the dark white, and while it does glow great it is a completely different material. It feels more like frayed dental floss, it's softer and finer, but tangles to heck. The pick is after one conditioner treatment and an attempt to brush, I am giving it another treatment and hoping that works (update if it does) just want other customisers know it isn't the same as the nylon mlp hair.

Pretty sure that's just the nature of glow in the dark hair. It can look good once in the ponies head and brushed ect. but it is a weird texture.

Her hair looks messy as I made it that way being a witch and all

Yeah pretty sure most people know about the weird texture.

I hadn't a clue about it, and I tried to get it untangled and it is a whole big mess. RIP my $4

I didn't know about this and will probably be doing rehairs in the future. Thank you for posting about it.

GITD hair is indeed very tangly. I have a part-used hank of it that looks like a tumbleweed in a bag  >_< one day I'm sure I'll find the time and patience to smooth it back out again.
Thank you *wyvernchick* for my lovely avvie!

I'm glad someone else was helped with this post. I kept trying to fix the hair and it just got worse and worse, horrible snarl, like Halloween cobwebs.

The first time I touched this hair I knew it was going to be finicky. I do not remove any more than I will be using and only treat or style the hair once it's on the pony's head. Then, it's manageable and doesn't tangle too much. Small quantities.

Is this the nylon gitd? It sounds waaayyy different than what she used to stock if it is. I have some ponies made with the old GITD hair and it looks and behaves just like any other nylon hair. Sad that after such a long time of it being out of stock that what's available now is not the same :(

Ugh, I'm kinda glad I got impatient and grabbed some polypropylene gitd from my little customs instead of waiting, this stuff looks even more annoying to deal with  :pout:

@ NoDivision and Firecracker

It was posted in the same section as the other official mlp hair they have and it is completely different. I know I have seen MH dolls in particular haired with GitD that looks identical to the standard hair, so I'm not sure why this is different.

The old GITD (from several years ago) was nylon and would blend and behave just like any other nylon color.  The new hair is something else, but I find that it is fine to work with as long as I don't brush it prior to rehairing (which I never do anyway to maintain the natural plug separation).  It behaves a little more like Saran.

Here is a link to the thread that Tina posted about it when she restocked it.  She has a lengthy description of the new GITD under the INFO button on the main nylon page.  I think the problem may be that she doesn't have that same info under the "Nylon for My Little Ponies" tab.
