Will they let me take notes while training?

So I just got hired as a barista at a cafe inside a barnes and noble and I was just wondering what it's like being a barista I heard about memorizing how to make all the drinks and stuff , do you think they'll let me take notes while training? I'm kinda nervous I've never had a job like this before.

I've been a barista before in a bookstore (Books-a-Million), and I know we had a book of drink recipes we could consult with. It also had a manual with how to break down and clean machines, etc. I'm sure they'll let you take notes, I would believe they would appreciate it because it shows you care about the job.  Congrats on the job!

Once you learn a few drinks, you learn that some of them are just the basic coffee, milk, plus extra things.

You could always take a pencil and paper and then ask.
