Etsy isn't the only internet marketplace banning the sale of borderline-disturbing esoterica — eBay, the place where my best friend in eighth grade was able to buy a taser for fifteen American dollars, has announced in its 2012 Fall Seller Update that it will ban the sale of all magic potions, spells and enchantments, effective Aug. 30. Oh, and psychic readings have been banned, too, because some people at eBay are clearly uncomfortable with astrology's demonstrated power.

Damnit, reading haunted doll listings was one of my surefire ways to  cheer up.

Anyway back on topic

I think that the magic spells and potions that eBay used to sell was fun - the auctions had to be listed as 'for entertainment purposes only' anyway, so people could buy fun things and if they work, great, if not well, they are a bit of fun!

I loved those 'haunted doll' listings too

No, just venting on his elitist reactions to posts. If you don't like a post, move on. He doesn't seem to get that.

A loooong time ago, I was a member of MLPTP. MLPArena was created because of the flaming going on there, to create a board free of that. MLPArena was the solution for a long time, but lately, it's become exactly like the old MLPTP. And Rosencrantz is the example.

Anyway, huh, no explanation given by eBay? I mean, I don't believe in any of that stuff, but I am curious. I was thinking at first they were just banning intangible things, since it says spells, prayers, and stuff like that, but I see it says "magic potions," which certainly are physical items, so I wonder what that's about.

This sounds different from Etsy though...sounds like they just banned the sale of human remains, which is a little different.
