Whelp, I think I've been bitten by the G3 bug!!
My newest addition is a pony from my childhood, Desert Rose, I found her at a thrift store. She's not the same version I had though, mine was the Crystal Princess one with white eyes. By some kind of crazy luck I found her shoes on sale in a Facebook group and purchased them for only a few euros. Looking forward finding her other accessories to complete my childhood set! Haven't had time to curl her hair yet..
The one I really wanted to brag about is Strawberry Surprise, she was in great condition when I received her but I had this crazy idea I want her curls to look as similiar to this picture (from Strawberryreef) (https://www.strawberryreef.com/images/Ponies/S/StrawberrySurprise_600_L_spoosh.jpg) as possible.
Oh man it was a struggle! My boyfriend had to hold her when I wrapped the mane around a straw in small sections and it took such a long time :P I removed the straws the next day and she looks very pretty! Not as the reference picture, those curls are probably impossible to do yourself but hey, I tried my best :lol: The picture on the left is taken right after I took the straws off, the picture with Desert Rose is a few weeks later.

You can probably spot Secret Wish in the leftmost picture... I'm in love with the Divine Shine ponies and currently own her and Flower Garland. Am I becoming an G3 collector, I haven't looked at G1 on sale for ages, just for G3's :biggrin: Oh my...

What a wonderful job on her mane! We found Strawberry Surprise several weeks ago at a thrift shop too, and she's been waiting in the spa conga line since arrival. I will have to attempt a style like this.
As for holding ponies, I keep thinking about some type of holder, sort of like the type used for holding circuit boards, because you really need at least three hands!

...Yes. Yes you do. This is how they do it. Bit by bit they worm into your brain. "Just one or two", you tell yourself. Fifty ponies later...their work is done O.O.
...On a serious note, nice finds :D I also like playing with curling and styling g3 hair. I feel like G1 are now too old to go mad with things like curling unless it's trying to put curls back in - but with G3 I feel they're still new enough to experiment. Strawberry looks very pretty with her hair like that. I really like her colour blend in her mane.

Getting bit by the G3 bug is easy and addictive. Embrace your new obsession. There are so many wonderful ponies in the line. Your girl sure is cute with those curls.
Desert Rose is always one of those ponies you don't notice until you see her in person. Then you're like, Wow, I didn't realize how pretty she was! Especially when her hair is pink.

Lovely new G3s :lovey: I think you did an amazing job on Strawberry Surprise's curls! They look really natural and soft. I never have much luck with curling hair myself. Great effort :D

I love what you have done with their hair, it looks amazing! And just wait until some of the super long hair ones come your way. Man, but they are FUN. Congrats on what you have done with your new babies!

Congrats! I love G3 and they are my favorite. But I’m slowly adding more G1’s because they are awesome as well.
