Package delivered to wrong address - Fullerton California??
« on: October 02, 2017, 08:11:37 AM »
Hello all, so I'm pretty broken hearted. I bought my Grail, Greek Baby Minty from an ebay seller in Greece. I had it shipped to my boyfriend in Michigan but it was delivered on Saturday to someone in Fullerton California??? I'm on hold with USPS (Omg this is gonna cost me calling from Canada, 1 hour hold time!!) and the seller just says it USPS's fault, that she mailed it properly. But the slip she sent is all in Greek (literally) and I don't see addresses listed anywhere...

I've opened a claim, but I can't help but worry. Someone just got a beautiful rare pony, and I think the odds of getting it back are pretty low.

I'm sooo sorry to hear about this!! If I were you I would try and find someone here on the arena who speaks greek to look at the slip. I think the slip is the key to finding out who is at fault here. Although if I had to guess I would bet that the seller put the wrong address. USPS certainly isn't perfect and its not impossible that they are at fault I think the chances of them screwing up that badly are low.

I think your chances are pretty high of getting a refund from ebay and maybe even the USPS (do you know if she shipped with any kind of insurance?)

Although I think the chances of getting your pony at this point are slim, I wouldn't give up all hope yet. Do you have or can you get the address to where your pony was delivered? If so then you can write them a letter explaining what happened or maybe even google the address to see if there are any numbers attached to it. Who knows maybe they will be decent people and offer to help.

Does this address have a listed phone number?  You might try calling the household...

Please share with us the packing slip that you were given - someone who can read Greek can help you...

This might be a long shot, but does it say "delivered" or just "arrived at destination"?  Fullerton is right on the coast, so maybe it is a port of import for North American Postal services (USPS, Canadian Post).  Often, my packages will show "arrived at destination" when packages have arrived into the US, but before they start the journey to my actual address.  I don't know though...just a thought.  Good luck! :)

Thank you everyone! So guess what showed up today??

It's crazy, even when I called USPS to ask what was going on, all they would say is that yes it was "delivered to an individual in Fullerton, California". So calling them was obviously just a waste of time.

I'm just happy she arrived! Felt bad for the poor seller too - she must have had a heart attack when I messaged. Looks like you were right cookhuman!
