The name Sea Trinket is really good. The eyes remind of art from a book series from when I was a kid, but can't recall the names. One was about a calf, one a dragon, and many others.

I think you mean Serendipity! My favorite in that series was Flutterby Fly, about a gray pegasus with soulful blue eyes
