Falling in love with sold-out dolls!

I've never been drawn to baby/child dolls at all, but browsing through Iplehouse today, I just fell in love with this 25 cm tall, dark skinned little girl!

She was only $219 but now she's sold out! I hope they bring her mold back as a regular release, because I can do without the silly outfit...


Which sold out dolls have you fallen in love with? Did you manage to eventually get them second hand?

Actually Erzulie isn't completely sold out. You can still buy her through Iplehouse's custom doll system, however she is a bit more expensive than the LE release.


But I know how you feel falling for a sold out doll. I completely fell in love with Sooms Lami, particularly the open mouthed head. I didn't think I'd ever get him but by a stroke of luck I managed to pick up his head on the DoA marketplace. I did miss out twice before I got him though. Searching for a sold out doll takes patience!

I do this all the time or they're not sold out but extremely limited release that I'm just screwed either way

For most dolls I've fallen in love with hardcore, I've gotten them all secondhand.
Volks Heath (Dolpa limited release) and Soom Ai (monthly limited release)

I've also obtained a lot of them that weren't really one's that I went pinning for - they just found me
Luts summer and winter event heads of 2009, angel region warrick, and volks sd13 nono.  They all just kinda fell in my lap

and now it appears that my luts delf girls (soony and miyu) are sold out too o_0... this makes me realize that a majority of my bjds are limited release.... WTF how'd this happen?

This is the sold out Pullip that I'm in love with... I'd even settle for just her outfit and accessories to put them on a similar current doll.

Thanks for the tip about the custom doll option, Sol28 and Blitzn. However I realized that the dark skinned dolls are a lot more expensive, and she'd be almost $400 with makeup... poo!

I know what you mean ;.; I saw her and flipped. She is gorgeous! And I love her dorky outfit. But, I shall never own her, boo. I can't afford a bjd, even a small one, let alone a sold out one from someone else.

I'm so in love with Pullip Leprotto, but even if she fell from the sky I wouldn't feel justified keeping her because of her value. I hope they do a regeneration of her (since they were kind enough to devalue my Fantastic Alice... -___-) someday...

I also really loved Leeke's Mikhaila, but that's another lofty dream. I don't think I'll ever own a bjd...

Well, I fell in love with SOOM Beyla the instant I saw her. She quickly sold out (MDs, you know) but I managed to get her 2nd hand last year via someone here at the Arena

I also really loved Leeke's Mikhaila, but that's another lofty dream. I don't think I'll ever own a bjd...

The first release was limited, and I believe Fly Mikhaila is as well, but if you go on Leeke's homepage, you'll find her under the 'a-type' link in the menu, I think:)

She's not?? Oh wow. I figured since she was a limited she'd be long gone by now! I didn't know they kept her after the limited release! I still can't afford her though. At least not in my current financial situation.
