It's the only photo I have from the seller, and we have some uh, translation issues, so do you think that forelock's the normal pink or is it bright red? Looks way red to me, but it could be just the camera...

What do you think, should I flip out and drop big bucks on her, or is this just the normal rainbow hair scheme with pink? If it's actually red in the rainbow, it's soooo pretty, I'd really love her but I don't want to overpay on a misunderstanding...

What would you price her as if she has normal rainbow hair? PC if that's actually red in the rainbow?

Augh, foreign purchasing dilemmas. :drunk:

They're French! Unfortunately the problem isn't with me understanding them (I just run it through google translate), it's them understanding me.

(If anyone speaks french, how do you say "is her hair red in the front" and "how much for shipping to the US"?)

You could try google translate, its far from perfect but it has helped me with french sellers.  Just try to write in a simple way.

"Est-ce que les crins du début de la crinière sont bien rouges ?" in french.
and "Combien faut-il compter de frais de port pour un envoi aux Etats-Unis ?"

but, hasn't the regular italian starshine red hair like this ?
There is a rarer version with tropical hair, but the red hair is the normal one, no ?

I think it's the normal version with bad lighting for the picture. The Italian rainbow ponies have a darker red-ish pink color compared to the US versions. The color doesn't seem unusual to me, especially since the picture is a bit dark.

The colour does look a bit off in the photo, but it is hard to tell if it truly is different or not

Here are the two Italian versions I own :)

I learned that once you translate into another language with Google Translate, it helps if you translate it back into English before sending.  That way you can check that it still says what you want it to.  Sometimes I find that the meaning gets changed quite a lot.
Nirvana grails:  Reverse Gusty (upgrade), Peru Windy and Moonstone (upgrade), Brazil TAF upgrades, Argie Powder w/ white hair (upgrade), French Windy and Moondancer (upgrades), Spain TAF's, TE's, and piggies.  These are my biggest wants, but I'm looking for tons more nirvanas, especially Greeks, Brazilians, and Peruvians.  Feel free to PM me for sales or trades.  But please note that I'm also fairly picky.

Dang, I guess it is just dark pink. I was really digging that fire engine red I thought it was. I guess this calls for some alt. color rehair work on a regular Starshine, instead... Thanks for your help anyway, everyone!

Here's the ebay link since I won't be trying to snag her anymore, in case anyone else wanted to try for her, lol!

I've noticed that auction before to read this post, and to me she's a truly oddball. She seems to have a coral pink stripe near the regular red one.
Anyway, I won her, but I don't know if the seller can send her to me or not 'cause he/she didn't reply to my question about the shipping costs yet. I hope to be able to solve the mistery of this strange Starshine, I'll keep you informed :)
