your definition of rainbow hair?

My neice really wants a birthday custom with rainbow hair, would you do just a mix of bright colours, or typical rainbow, or a group of different shades of a few colours? what would you class rainbow hair as? I dont want to ask her more Q's as I want it to be a surprise.
And would love to see pics of what you personally class as a rainbow hair blend,

that depends -- when i first hear "rainbow hair" I think of the "rainbow" ponies that came out in like 83-84 (Sunlight, Skydancer, Moonstone, Parasol, Windy) which had hair that was pink, yellow, green and blue

but if we are talking a rainbow rainbow -- then I think red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.....in even stripes.
So i would definitely have to clarify with the commissioner XD
in the case of a little girl - i would go with typical rainbow

Aaaaaall the colors! Just sort them into the rainbow hues pink/red orange yellow green blue violet.

I prepared something: (19 colors btw. ;) )

Little girl ... I would say typical rainbow. If you just did a bunch of shades of blue for example I don't think a kid would say 'Oooh rainbow!' More likely it would be..."Its blue."

I used red-orange-yellow-green-blue-purple when I did my only real rainbow-haired pony. It would be the strictest definition, I guess! But I often think of the G1 rainbow ponies, too.

I'd do a typical rainbow.  My 7 year old keeps asking me to make her a pony with rainbow hair and to her rainbow is typical rainbow.  Rainbow on a pink base if she's a super girly girl!
