My First Custom Pony: Evil Chemist, a goth pony

This pony was created with input from my daughter, who is eleven. It's a custom for her; an evil goth chemist pony. I didn't do anything fancy with her hair because this pony will be played with. She started as a G3 Yesterdaisy. Her eyes and symbols were completely re-painted, with paints from Folk Art, Games Workshop, and Sharpie Paint Pen. They were then sealed with three layers of ModPodge. She was re-haired with what I had available, since my first Dollyhair order hadn't arrived yet, and I wanted to try rehairing with something cheap for the first time. Her hair is Kanekelon 1A (black) and aquamarine taken from a dollar store hair band. I was able to reinstall her head without glue, so it is turnable. We may experiment with ear piercings on her later, if my daughter wishes.

Sorry if my pics aren't high quality; I only have a camera phone. The shading on the symbols doesn't really show, but there are two shades of green in there. WIP pics are available through the link in my sig.

Thanks! I was careful to use very thin layers and allow drying time. I'm really happy with the paint job :)


I'm looking forward to rehairing my next pony with Dollyhair, instead of the cheap dollar store stuff. It was coarse, and doesn't have the shiny slick results I'd prefer. It also broke a lot while being pulled through plug holes.

When I saw this, the first thing that came to my mind was Abby (Abbie?) from NCIS. :P
