New Years' Eve has always been special to me because it's one of the very few times the whole family (as in me, my parents and my siblings) gets together for something other than food or TV  I guess it's not as special to my mom though, as she and dad are going away specifically so she doesn't have to stay up and celebrate. No matter; my brother and I are still going to eat chocolate mousse and watch the fireworks and play video games together allll day.

Great tree Aflame! The decorated gate is a fun touch  My mom and I picked out a tree yesterday, but we're not putting it up until Little Christmas Eve as always. I'm surprised how many of you don't have a tree at all, I would riot!

Plushies are my favorite! I'm getting a Shinx Pokemon plush for Christmas that's just about the fluffiest thing you've ever seen. Ooh, I hope I can't make room for it on the Shinx shelf so I'll just have to keep it on my bed. Gravity blankets sound so nice... I just pile on blankets to get a similar effect, when it's cold enough at least

I actually found the calendar on a second-hand website, the seller saying it came from a bookstore. Checked the bookstore's site and it was listed as out of stock.

So they make gingerbread-flavored ice cream sandwiches now... And they did NOT skimp out on the spices  Actual (store-bought) gingerbread is going to seem tame by comparison now. Ooh glitterball, wrapping presents is so much fun! I've got to get my hands on some ASAP.

It may be a cultural thing but the colors do make me think a bit of November it may come off as a bit sad so I put my reasoning under spoiler
Spoiler in my country on first of November most people visit the graves of their families to remember them, we decorate the graves with flowers, candles so the gem and hair kinda reminds me of candles and flower theme also matches and purple fits in too since it's the color of mourning That's such a wonderful interpretation of this pony! Thank you for sharing.

Not the colors that come to mind for "november" or "nights" in this hemisphere, but she's pretty as a spring pony.

Here's a slightly edited picture showing what is hopefully a more accurate color scheme: Basically what you do is grab the color from something you know to be white (in this case, the whites in the eye), then fill a layer on top with that color and set it to "divide" and that removes the yellow "fog" that was in this image... Does that make sense? Also in the top left is the color I picked from the front of her head (the most shading-neutral part I could find) She's definitely a desaturated purple.
