Wanted! / Nursery
« on: January 23, 2022, 04:43:09 PM »
I made a post about this last summer and I still have not found one. My daughter and I were playing ponies tonight and she said she wished she could have her nursery back.

Original post: My daughter is heart broken that her G1 Nursery (that we purchased on here from a great pony pal) was lost in our recent out of state move. I am looking to replace it for her. Smoke free home, please. Thank you!

Still looking! I am terrible at checking message boards these days, but I will try to set notifications. Thanks for looking! Oh and I am in the US/East Coast.

Wanted! / Wanted: Barbie Dream Boat 1992
« on: May 20, 2020, 05:39:46 PM »
I was playing Barbies with my daughter today and I told her about the amazing Barbie boat I had as a kid. She got so excited about it. I tried finding one on Ebay, but the only ones on there are not in decent shape. If anyone has one for sale let me know :)

Customs / Looking for a customizer to paint a Hallmark ornament
« on: January 03, 2020, 02:19:57 PM »
I picked up a second Seashell ornament on sale and I was looking for someone to repaint it for me as Bubbles. If anyone has any interest in doing such a thing please let me know. I would love to see some of your work of course. Thanks in advance!

I have three MIB and one loose (that was in a curio cabinet). SSC with Custard is loose. Orange Blossom, Angel Cake and Blueberry Muffin are in the box. I originally was going to buy two of each doll (one to keep MIB and one to unbox), but I could rarely find more than one. Asking what I paid ($10.83 per doll) + shipping.

I have pictures but the image hosting site I use is giving me grief :(

Since we moved into the new house I have been slowly going through stuff and pairing down collections and selling off things I no longer want or cannot use. I currently have listings for Masters of the Universe Mega Construx, Masters of the Universe or MOTUC figures (Swift Wind sold in five minutes - holy moly), Hello Kitty Converse, vintage Rainbow Brite items, Mattel Disney Musical Princesses and more once I get photos taken and things listed. Not sure how much MLP I will have to list. I am currently only parting with my CP Bowtie. Check out my listings here:

For Sale - For Auction / Thinking of selling my entire toy collection
« on: October 07, 2018, 02:17:47 AM »
As some of you know my brother is fighting stage four Cancer and it is spreading. We are looking into moving out of state temporarily to be closer to him. I originally thought about storing things in a climate controlled storage, but honestly then I would be worried about them getting damaged and I need my head else where.

I was lying in bed having a hard time sleeping thinking about all of this stuff and the only thing that gave me peace is re-homing my collections to people who love toys as much as I do. I will have to take the time to write out price lists, but if you visit my collection page on my site you can see what is up for grabs (and a few things that are not even pictured).

I have most of the MOTUC POP line including Swift Wind (which I paid Ebay prices for). I have a lot of vintage POP that was all MOC (except two figures) that I deboxed. I kept the back cards if they were not too damaged. I have Jem and the Holograms which were all MIB except Kimber (I kept the boxes if they were not too funky). Rainbow Brite both vintage and modern. Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony and the list goes on.

Check out my collection pictures here and I will add lists and prices when it is not 5 am - LOL! I may just list everything I can on my Etsy shop (vintage), but the more I can sell off Etsy or Ebay the better. Thanks for looking! Smoke free, pristine home. https://iceempress.wordpress.com/my-collections/

Off Topic / Storing toys (short term) in the basement?
« on: August 22, 2018, 04:36:26 PM »
Hi gals and guys -

I have a question for you. We are going to have a bit of work done on our flat and I am worried about my toys. I want to store them temporarily (a few weeks - I hope) in our basement, but it tends to be damp at times. Normally I would store them in totes wrapped in tissue paper with silica packets. Is this OK? I have invested quite a bit in my collections and would hate to see them get ruined. Thanks in advance for all of your help :)

I have about a dozen of these dolls in various characters all MIB, but some boxes show wear. Can anyone tell me a decent price for them? I am having a hard time finding anything on Etsy or Ebay. Thanks!

Pony Corral / G1 or G3 pony like Rarity?
« on: February 11, 2018, 09:00:39 AM »
My daughter loves Rarity because of her cutie mark and colors, but she is not a fan of the G4 style ponies. We have a few and she refuses to play with them, favoring the few G1s and G3s I have given her.  I told her I would try to find her a G1 or G3 style that looks like Rarity, but I honestly cannot remember if there are any or what their names would be to look them up on Ebay.

Thanks for your help!

Off Topic / Silly oversharing (?) post...
« on: January 25, 2018, 08:44:23 AM »
This morning I had a terrible dentist appointment. Went in for a cleaning and they found more caries (been having dental issues since I had kids), one of which is under a crown and insurance is NOT going to cover it. Suffice to say I was not in the best mood when I got home.

As I unlocked the door and ushered the kids in the house the mailman pulls up and hands me a package. I am an Amazon addict, so I do not think much about it. Came inside and opened it to find two mint condition She-Ra figures I just won on Ebay.

Instant happiness! Forget the crappy teeth, I now have a Netossa for the first time in my life and she has never been played with. Gotta get my crown torn out? Who cares, I have a beautiful Flutterina with working wings. Both 100% complete.

Money cannot buy happiness, right? It can buy toys and toys can definitely bring you joy! Wonky teeth be danged :) Happy Thursday, everyone <3 I hope yours started out better than mine did ;)

Introductions / Allow myself to re-introduce myself...
« on: July 16, 2017, 11:11:41 AM »
Yeah, baby!

The details of my life are quite inconsequential...very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving truck driver/electrician from Pennsylvania. My mother is a Registered Nurse with a penchant for buggery. My father would rebuild motorcycles, he would drink (lemonade). He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Minersville, luge lessons at Knobel's. In spring we would make halupkis and halushki - pretty standard really.

I began re-collecting My Little Ponies in my late teens, spending a lot of time on the MLPTP. Now twenty years later I collect MLP with my four year old daughter. I am not very fond of the newer generations, I am still a die hard G1 fan. For safety reasons I mainly allow my daughter to have G4, with a handful of G1s that are in excellent condition (and show no signs of breaking down) in the mix. Outside of collecting MLP I also collect: Jem, She-Ra, Rainbow Brite, Mattel Disney dolls (the 6" ones that came out in the early 90's), DC Super Hero Girls and Strawberry Shortcake (mostly the new vintage style stuff, but I do have a large collection of minis).

I also have a small collection of Lego Disney Princess castles that my kiddos have gotten me for Mother's Day. It is a fun activity for us to do and unlike flowers, Legos last ;) Most of my days are filled with taking care of my babies and our home. I am a Stay at Homeschooling Mom and I love every minute of it. My son just finished first grade and my daughter will be starting Kindergarten next year. When I am not spending time with them (aka after they go to bed) my hubby and I like to play XBox and board games. Sometimes we also bin watch bad TV on our streaming services. I have a lovely, quiet life which is VERY different from the household I grew up in.

I almost forgot, I am a super craft Mama. I used to have an Etsy shop where I made party banners and handmade party supplies. I kind of stopped doing that when I started homeschooling. I have a ridiculous amount of paper though and recently started making sticker albums/books for kiddos. I am not really doing it to make money, just as a way to still have a crafting outlet. We do a lot of crafts as a family and we switched to a handmade Christmas years ago (for adults, the kids still get spoiled rotten - Ha). I have made jewelry, quilted ornaments and wreaths and all sorts of fun things over the years. I usually try to inject my love of all things 80's into my crafts (for example I made a Jem quilted ornament).

Thanks for reading!

Off Topic / Jem and the Holograms Sticker Album
« on: June 27, 2017, 02:42:46 PM »
So I started making sticker books for my kids. I really wanted to make one for myself. I collect toys, so why not collect stickers too? I LOVE Jem, so I made a Jem themed sticker book. I love it, now I have to find some cool vintage stickers to put in it. I hope you like it :)

PS. Just scroll down to the slide show :) You can ignore the text and link, I just do not have an online photo hosting service anymore.
