Title: Shrinky Dinks
Post by: JazzMatazz on March 26, 2019, 08:29:37 AM
Does anyone have high res scans of any of the My little pony Shrinky Dinks? Or any 80s franchise or Disney for that matter!  I've been having fun making some this week but I'd love to be able to trace the original designs! I've found one bigger image from an old thread on here but I know there was at least two different sets made for g1 and at least one made for g4.

Tracing:

I know I can just resize print and trace any old g1 coloring books but I was hoping to find some higher res scans of the actual g1 shrinky dink designs. Either way I'm having fun :D

I have set unsed G1 Shrinky Dinks. It’s the set that features TAF Buttons, a Sundae Best Pony and at least one Bay Sea Pony. I can post pics of the sheets but my scanner doesn’t work anymore.

Photos would be fine! there isn't much online anymore I'll find thumb nails but not regular sized photos

Oh this looks amazing! I have no idea what a “shrinky dink” is, but I may just have to investigate this further. It seems fun!
As for artwork, I don’t think I can offer much help. But good luck, and I just know you’ll find the artwork you need!

Shrinky Dinks are something that you can draw on with colored pencils, pop in the oven, and shrink them down to make little charms. You could glue some pin backings as well and make little pins. They're quite versatile! And they look nice when you shrink 'em. It's a sort of plastic, with one side roughed up to better "catch" colored pencil.
It's good if you want to color in a coloring book but don't have a scanner, you just trace!

I had that set as a kid, but I didn't know anything about MLP back then. I remember coloring Raspberry Jam with blue hair, and I named her Strawberry. She was my absolute favorite of that set, and she was best friends with one of my Smurf shrinky dinks.
