Sheesh! I am worn out! I just drew my little heart out!

Anyone remember the book 'Are you my mother?', with the baby bird searching for his mum? I just spent the whole morning at my daughter's kindergarten drawing/copying many of the illustrations for an abridged version that one of the teachers wanted as a teaching resource

It was good fun actually, but I haven't drawn that hard for a sustained period like that in a long time! My arm is tired from the effort of getting them done by the end of the kindy session! Not really my style of drawing, but it was good branching out

The sketches were pretty good too, I thought - wish I had some to share! Maybe I can take some piccies when the teacher has finished her super-sized magnet book

Anyway, I guess it's a bit of a silly story to share, but there it is! If anyone else has pressure cooker art stories, I'd love to hear them

BEST. BOOK. EVER!!!

I grew up with that book - I read that SO many times... I'd love to see the sketches when you have the chance to share them

i used to love that book... that and the one with the unicorn with the crystals stuck to her... cant... remember... name... /nostalgic

I love those sketchs!
Clicking the thread, though, I was certain it was going to be doctor Who-related scary art, from the episodes where there's like a zombie invasion and everyone goes 'mummy? are you my mummy? muuuummyyyyy'

In answer to your question, Diamond, unfortunately I don't intend to colour them

The teacher was just wanting line drawings to help create the teaching resource she was going to use. Truthfully... I was a little relieved about that!
