Wanted! / wanted: flawed MO/Euro/nirvana/rare ponies (buying now! Dec/Jan)« on: December 06, 2016, 04:31:45 PM »
Hi all! This is a bit of a long shot, but nonetheless, here's my December/January want list.
I'm mostly looking for rare ponies, but I'm not a picky collector. Symbol rubs, haircuts, small marks, spots, and even chew marks are usually OK. Right now, I'm looking for flawed/cheaper rare ponies. I'll pay more if the pony is especially rare/desirable, of course, but I'm mostly looking for ponies under $50, at present. If you've got a pony on my list, please let me know what price you'd like to get for her! If you've got more than one, that's even better. I can also do trades. Everything on my Bonanza sales page (http://www.bonanza.com/booths/ponylandpress) is up for trade. I also have a couple of MIP mail-order CP ponies, and several different (loose) Megan/Sundance sets that aren't listed on the sales page yet. Here's my want list: Want List Nirvanas ALL OF THEM. Mainly, right now, I'm looking for all kinds of Argentinean variants (babies especially). European Ponies White Baby Pony Baby Bridesmaid Baby Fun n' Games Baby Ribbons n' Hearts Cascade Love Letter Patch Bon Bon Highlights (Great Hair Pony) Nurse Tenderheart Nurse Sweetheart Baby Cuddles (Surprise Newborn) Baby Snoozy (Surprise Newborn) Baby Honeycomb Baby Cherries Jubilee Baby Buttons NBBE Baby Heart Throb More Expensive/Rare Euro Ponies (will pay more for these ) Baby Diamond Baby Licorice Baby Sapphire Babies Splish, Splash, Splosh Baby Würfelchen (blue Nestäckchen baby) Baby Schlummerlein (yellow Nestäckchen baby) Raindrop Nightlight Ice Crystal (wanted in good condition -- will pay more!) Fireball Tornado (white hair, preferably) Daddy Sunbright, Daddy Meadowsweet, Daddy Berrytown Alternate Birthflower Ponies (looking for any except for Feb/Violet, April/Daisy, June/Rose, July/Waterlily) Dutch Baby Dolphin Pony Baby School Pony Baby Flower Pony Singalong Pony Star Pony Shell Pony Diary Pony Butterfly Pony Special Offer Clipper Baby Up Up and Away Stockings the Holiday Pony Hollywood Baby Sugarcake and Baby Gametime (good condition, please! I'll pay more for these guys ) Baby Pony ("Beachy Keen") Lil' Cupcake (pink newborn) US - Year 3 Sea Ponies (with or without shells) Whitecap Sea Mist Seabreeze High Tide Wave Jumper Sand Dollar Other US Ponies Fifi (So-Soft) Diamond Dreams (Merry Go Round) Frilly Flower (Prom Queen SHS) Love Petal (Flower Fantasy) Baby Pockets (Pretty Pal pony) Pearly (Fancy Mermaid Pony) I'm also looking for just about ANY MIP ponies or Pony Wear (bent cards are OK, as long as the bubble is intact and not too yellowed) Thanks for looking! 18

Pony Corral / Re: Does GoodWill have G1 ponies?« on: June 27, 2016, 05:32:39 PM »
Sometimes they turn up. I always check the toy section just to make sure, even though they usually only have G3 and G4 ponies. Last year my sister found two -- a flutter pony (Lily) and a pony pal (Woolly the Lamb), at two different Goodwill stores. I'm guessing that even the stores that sort through their toys might not recognize the more unusual-looking ponies (or lambs, in this case) as real MLP items.

Pony Corral / Re: Displaying ponies--IKEA?« on: June 25, 2016, 05:20:03 PM »
Billy bookcases are fantastic if you have a lot of ponies to display. I do think the Detolf cases are prettier, and also sturdier -- but the Billy cases are cheaper and will hold a lot more ponies, and it's easy to add more shelves to them, and adjust the height. And they do look nice if you have two or three of them together, especially with the corner pieces. Our whole pony room is full of them, and I think they work very well.
(Shadowlark, I love the idea of drilling more holes to add more shelves! I might do the same, since right now our shelves still need a lot more risers so the ponies in back won't be hidden...) visitors can't see pics , please register or login 21

Pony Corral / Ponyland Press - new UK Pony Comics page (pictures!)« on: June 25, 2016, 08:49:32 AM »
Hi all! Just a quick update from Ponyland Press. We finally got around to putting up a page for UK Pony Comics, and figured you might enjoy checking them out.
So far we've got pictures of 70+ different covers, and we've scanned in 37 complete 16-page comics, which you can flip through as PDF files. We still need a lot more of them, but at least it's a start! There's tons of fun stuff inside -- stories and pictures and games and old MLP advertisements. For example... visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login ...And the rest are here: Ponyland Press: UK Pony Comics. 24

For Trade / Sold/Traded Ponies« on: February 19, 2016, 01:12:25 PM »
I'm keeping a list of our sold/traded ponies in this post.
DABBLE -- TRADED Spoiler Condition: Very Good / Excellent Dabble is in beautiful condition, but she does have some minor flaws, so please read below and check the photos! Symbols: Symbols and eyes are bright and clear. Blush might be somewhat faded (it's hard to tell). Hair: Her hair is gorgeous, silky, and uncut. Like most other Dabbles, however, she has no noticeable trace of green left in the middle strip of her mane -- it's simply striped purple and white. Body: Dabble's main flaw is that, at least compared to the Dabble in my personal collection, she seems to be slightly yellowed. (You can see a comparison below.) She also has a few small, very light marks on her body. One is near her display-side eye (almost impossible to see). Another is near her tail on her non-display side (very light, but you can see it in the NDS symbol photo below), and there are a couple of light marks on her NDS shoulder/leg. They may all be removable -- I've only washed her gently with dishsoap and water. Photos: To me, this Dabble looks almost perfect on display, but again, I'm not a very picky collector, so its possible that I've missed something. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login Symbols and marks: Display-side symbol looks perfect: visitors can't see pics , please register or login Slight mark below tail on NDS side: visitors can't see pics , please register or login Slight body marks (maybe removable) on NDS shoulder and leg: visitors can't see pics , please register or login Color comparison: The one for sale is in the foreground. The one from my collection, in the background, has lighter purple hair, but her body seems a little more pink/lavender toned. visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login Sunburst -- SOLD Spoiler Condition: Poor / Play Condition Sunburst has a number of flaws, but we really like him, and have been hesitating about selling/trading him even though we already have one in our collection. We're hoping he'll find a home where he'll be appreciated despite his flaws (and not customized!). If you're interested in him, feel free to ask questions or request more photos. Symbols: Symbols are good, with some very slight rubbing on the display side. Eyes are clear and bright. Freckles slightly rubbed on display side, but all still visible. Hair: Tail has been cut to about 3½ inches. Other than that, his hair is silky and smooth. His mane is perfect. Body: Sunburst has pale brownish cancer spots all over his body. He has been treated, and should not get any more spots, but he already has quite a few. His display side still looks pretty good (the spots are mostly quite light), but he has a number of darker spots around his neck on his non-display side. There are also a couple of bluish marks on his NDS front leg. Because he’s been cancer treated, Sunburst’s head has been partly removed. It is still glued in place, but the glue is not sealed all the way around. Eyes are bright and clear. Hair: Excellent. Silky and uncut. Tinsel is smooth. Body: Excellent overall, except for some ingrained dirt on the face (see photos). No marks. Color is very bright. Photos: visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login Nibbles -- SOLD Spoiler Condition: Very Good / Excellent Nibbles would be in near-mint condition, except for a slight blush-colored mark on her display-side rear leg (see photo). Symbols: Excellent. Symbols, eyes, and blush are perfect. Hair: Silky and uncut. Curls beautifully. Body: There's a soft pink mark, almost like blush, on her display-side rear leg. Otherwise she looks excellent -- no other marks or flaws. Photos: visitors can't see pics , please register or login Christmas Baby Pony -- SOLD Spoiler Bluebelle -- SOLD Spoiler Goldilocks -- SOLD Spoiler Excellent condition, except that her hair is sort of... crinkly? It looks like it may be in original curls, and it's still rather soft, but not smooth. It looks like it would get frizzy if it were brushed out. The ringlets are slightly crimped in the middle of the mane, where a ribbon was tied. Her symbols, eyes, and body are all bright and clear, with no signs of wear. visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login Princess Starburst – Appears a bit dingy, with some small marks. For Trade / Re: Mail-order Dabble up for trade! (+ more G1 ponies, puzzles, etc...)« on: February 04, 2016, 08:10:57 AM »
Hi Sochy. I think the price for Dabble sort of varies, but she's always a bit expensive. The price check archives here on the Arena say she's worth around $100. I've seen her go for as little as $50-$60, but lately on eBay she seems to be mostly selling for more like $150-$200. I think around $100 is fair for a trade, though -- or maybe a little less, since this one has some flaws.
