Some Hascon exclusives revealed

Did Hasbro say this is all or could there be more announced as the con and movie get closer?

I don't believe that they are moving away from all exclusives since there still seem to be plenty of Amazon, Target, Walmart, and TRU exclusives popping up in stores and online. If anything they just mean no more event exclusives tho I hope that's not the case.

The rumor was about event exclusives, not no retail exclusives like Amazon only, Target only, etc.

Perhaps they were finding that event exclusives just weren't profitable enough for them?  Were they being left with a lot of left over stock?

I don't think it's profitability at stake, because my understanding is that Fanpub, which ran the last couple Botcons, actually paid out of pocket for the runs of exclusive Botcon toys.  The toys were officially licensed by Hasbro, approved by Hasbro, and in Hasbro molds, but Fanpub was the one dealing with / paying the factory.  I don't think Botcon exclusives ended up on Hasbro Toy Shop, unlike SDCC exclusives.  (I could be wrong though.)  My understanding is they had such limited runs that they reliably sold out.

I could be wrong about that, though, I just read a very long and confusing thread on the subject.

I will be very surprised if there is no HasCon exclusive pony of some kind.

With the Fair exclusives (that were shared with SDCC), they typically kept tried to keep them a secret until a couple of days before the event, at which time they would have some sort of press announcement describing them as SDCC exclusives. I'd be willing to bet that the pony exclusive (or exclusives?) isn't unveiled until a few days before HasCon.

Well, if they do end up revealing one I'm putting my money on a FS of Tempest Shadow.

Though I suppose it could be a FS of Queen Novo.  But no, she would definitly sell in the main stream market.

But watch it be a FS Rainbow decked out in all her pirate glory a la Chicken Pinkie.

Well, that's the first  decent looking plush since G3. Official Hasbro plushies are usually horrible.

Pity it's the Bore Six and none of the real merponies.

Oh my flip, my nieces LOVE MLP:FiM and both their parents are big D&D players/roleplayers (as am I!) and I would love to get them those dice. They're a bit young for it now but in a few years! Does Hasbro ever sell any of the stuff online after the con?
