Yeah I'd skip snap for sure! But maybe TikTok the process? Funny to see so many familiar names on here replying I guess we got on with our lives and put the ponies on the shelf for awhile!
I have an almost 9 yr old son now so I haven't had much pony time available for yrs... but I'd like to actually work on a couple.

I do agree that if you've replaced the symbol then repainting the eyes adds your finishing touch on the custom. Lots of us aren't as good as others and even when we think we suck it turns out that really others see it differently and think it's brilliant...
My very first eyes were terrible but with practice they have definitely improved.
I really like that when you look at the eyes you can tell who made the custom, it adds that little bit of "I did this not Hasbro!" to the completed artwork.
I draw them in the sketch book when i design the symbol layout that way I can see if I like how they go together. I always draw them on the pony very lightly with pencil as well so I can work out getting the lashes to match and the pupils the same size.

Best part is that it was really easy! :-) but do remember that you have to work with the base colour to get gradients in a desired colour. Pink base + blue dye = purple gradient.

She has 51 new nylon colours and I want them all....but they work out to almost $6 a piece for me to order so I'm like no...can not do. can not afford. boo...

I've seen people use shot glasses to stand them for pictures on ebay...
