So the CON I'm going to is tomorrow and the only puppet I have is this hideous unfinished piece of crud.

I'm trying to figure out how to fluff up the yarn I have so that I can cover this monstrosity and make it look more poodle like. The convention is tomorrow, so if you have any suggestions at all please do not hesitate to tell me. It's 9:03 pm here. I really need some help.

Fluffing? Hm..... what about velcro? Use the little hooky part and just try to pulling it up with that. It might make it look fluffy or fuzzier....

If you are using wool, a pet brush can help "fluff" it up some. Should give it the effect you want ;)

(Disappeared for stupid reasons. Uber sorry!)
Didn't get to take it to the con, soooo I'm just gonna finish this to say that I did :1

@Aitsuki: I didn't think about that. It sounds like a good idea, so I'll try it!

@fingerpaints: I tried that, but it did not go so well. The yarn wouldn't really brush through and it ended up in knots somehow.

i know when you comb yarn with a pet brush you have to unravel the pieces or yeah they do knot.
i use a similar method when i rehair dolls or ponies with yarn.

I hope you manage to get the desired effect, one way or the other. I've only ever used wool for puffy (pony) hair so I have no experience with fluffing up yarn, but the pet brush method is commonly used, I believe. Let us know how it goes! :)
