This was nice but the employee was a big old donkey.

DAWH.  That was nice... but gosh, that employee needs training or something... if someone wants to see a movie, and they have cash... why refuse them?

That's awesome... very uncool of the employee though! I mean, they were willing to pay for the tickets, why would you refuse them? o_o It doesn't matter what YOU think of the movie, what matters is that they're paying customers!

Hmmm... I would have marched into a manager's office if an employee treated a paying customer like that.  :(

Before giving up I would have said, "Let me buy my tickets or I'll take it up with management."  Stupid employees tend to shut up and just do their job after you threaten to take it up with management.

Fortunately no one at the theater I went to see it in cared.  They just took our money and gave us our tickets.

That theater employee should be fired ASAP. I hope the customer reported it.

If it had been me, I wouldnt have let it slip. I would have talked to his boss and everything if I needed to.
How stupid and narrow minded does one have to be to refuse somebody to make a purchase that is the purpose of ones job?

Sweet stories.  :)

That said, the movie theater employee in the first one is awful.  Who does that?  If the customer has the money, what does it matter if its a kid's movie?  I very often see kids movies with nary a kid in sight and I've never had an issue.

The first one is bizarre... I know some theatres near me have a sign that says 'All adults must be accompanied by a child', which EITHER is a cute gesture for the kids to see, or is their policy on 'no other adults because we're going to assume you'll be creepy at the kids'. It does anger me that the employee for the first one refused the ticket money for a group of friends potentially on that basis.

The second one is nice, anyone who can take 'No I'm not interested' and politely walk away is a good person in my books! :)

That sign reminds me of this terrible story...
