Pony Cleaning Kits
« on: January 20, 2014, 12:12:22 PM »
Who also does this? I have a whole beauty case full with stuff I use to clean my ponies with. Its easy because I clean like in 3 different rooms if I want. XD And I dont loose all my tools at different places. So I just bring along my kit to every room I clean. :3 This is what I store in it:

- A bottle of Shampoo
- A bottle of Conditioner
- Different Combs, like a Metal one or one with big teeth
- A bottle of Acetone
- A bottle of rubbing Alcohol (In case I wanna disinfect them)
- A small bottle of liquid soap
- Some small hotel bottles with shampoo/shower gel. Just to be sure I always have some on my hands
- A mini scissor
- A small box with rubber bands
- A bag of cotton disk for larger cleaning
- A container with cotton swabs
- Some pieces of magic erasers

So what do you guys think of this. Do you also have one? And if you have a suggestion of adding something that I dont have in it atm. Tell me! :D

thats not a bad idea.

personally I only have a comb by the bath that I just steal if I need it and they tend to use what ever soap and shampoo are in the bathroom at the time.

to be fair I have found that the basic wash and scrub up comes out well for me. (so far anyway)

This is a great idea.  I was just thinking about what I could use to "travel" with when I go to the Fair in July.

I've got mine in a Caboodles box under the bathroom sink! It's mostly cleaning and restoration stuff, with my small collection of Dollyhair.

I'd put some hand lotion in thar as all that cleaning can be very drying to your hands. :P

Lol. I was just tidying up some of my cleaning supplies this weekend and thinking that I need to get something to put it all in to keep it together.

I would add q-tips and cream of tartar (for scrubbing out ingrained dirt/pindot).

I have a kit!  :)

It includes:

Shampoo
Conditioner
Shower combs (I have 2, one to comb in the conditioner and one for after the hair is wet)
Brush
Magic erasers (extra; the used one is on the sink)
Barrettes and tiny plastic bands for hair
Ribbon in the upper compartment

I use a ca oodles box I got thrifting.  Seems to work pretty well.  :)

I've been keeping mine in an old plastic container, but I recently transferred it all into a bucket for a weekend away. In it is:

-Conditioner
-Antibacterial Dishwashing liquid
-Acetone
-Q-tips
-Cotton balls
-Toothbrush
-Fine-toothed comb
-Wide-toothed comb
-pocket pack of tissues (for setting hair)

I don't have a case, but my pony cleaning kit is under the sink:

-shampoo
-conditioner
-small comb
-large comb
-old toothbrush
-dish soap
-toothpaste (works great for rust staining!)
-pipecleaners
-needle-nosed pliers
-acetone
-nail scissors (for trimming straggly hairs, also works well for working on the seam on stubbornly glued heads)
-zip ties
-curlers, bobby pins, and tiny elastics for styling hair

My cleaning stuff is kept in a fishing tackle box.  At least the pony specific cleaning stuff - the "correct" shampoo (we all have our own preferred shampoo), magnifying lens, nylon brushes, etc....

A fishing tackle box is quite excellent!
It is cheap, folds out with plenty of space, and everything stays put & clean until next time.

Not enough space for several bottles of solutions, but like I said its only for the pony specific cleaning stuff.  Common detergents don't need to be in there.
