Italian seashell without tail?
« on: July 28, 2013, 10:01:12 AM »
I found a bunch of ponies fleamarketing today and one of them is a seashell without a tail. She rattles when I shake her but there is no tail and instead there is a plastic blob stuck back there. There's no sign of it being glued there, it's a part of the pony.
Anyone ever encountered anything like this?

(will try to take pictures later, I guess my blob explanation doesn't quite cut it :p)

I think it's the washer that rattles inside & the tail got loose fell out. The plastic "blob" thing sometimes is not completely pricked out, when the tails were put into the pony in the factory, so it can bend back, when there's no more tail - I had this happend with a few ponies (not only Italians). So I suppose it's a "normal" Italian Seashell  ;)

Here's a LD bait with the tail hole thingie:

And I think her hair has faded, it's the weirdest shade of green I have seen on an italian seashell.

Maybe her hair is just dirty? Give it a good wash and see if that helps :)

Aah yes, the weird tail hole thingy! You sometimes find them loose inside the pony :) That cone shape is normal for Italian ponies. Is it punched/half attached or still properly in place? :) Sometimes they don't get fully punched out and are left hanging on by a tag or plastic.

I'm sad to say that her hair is still the oddest colour I have ever seen on an Italian seashell. Guess it really has faded. I'll have to take pictures with her sisters. (she and bubbles seem to be multiplying in my doubles box)

If it hasn't washed out it must be some sort of discolouration :(
