Im an Argentina collector and also a seller, have quite a few recurring customers and customers who buy throughout the year to have everything shipped before xmas.. I too was amazed at those prices, Ive never charged over 200 for an argie, maybe cause im picky and every single flaw make me lower the prices when I sell... so I would only sell really rare ones at high prices, none on that list are... what better example than baby cotton candy who should have fading pink hair, so in that listing you mentioned it has discolored hair and it went over 130.. i sold one with almost all of its hair still retaining its original pink for 50-60 a few weeks ago... which i consider the going price for one of the most common argie babies... I feel like some people showed up recently in the community and everybody just went nuts about argies.. also most of those auctions have been won by the same person who seems really invested in having every single argie that pops up and leave nothing for the rest.
I agree exactly with what you said at your last lines..Almost all these auctions were won by the same person who buys every single argie-even if it has to raise his/her bids super high!-and other collectors can't have even one.. Sorry for that, but it seems very selfish to me..
My thoughts exactly, I imagine if I would have kept every single argie that came to me for the past 11 years.... I find joy in helping other collectors get something they really want, same reason why I dont sell on Ebay, cause I wanna know who Im selling to, all my customers are gr8 people and became dear friends and I know they cherish every pony I send their way. Hoarding is indeed being selfish..I feel sorry for the person who has the need to own everything so nobody else has the chance to have something they want.

Thats just bad aging, ive fixed argie bluebelles in that condition a million times with hydrogen peroxide and sun and they turn to their normal blue color. Same with the hair its just aged. Argies are known for turning brown, I have a lickety split thats completely brown with yellow hair and it is just aged. Also if you open the pony up most probably it will be light blue on the inside.
That is so helpful thank you for posting.
I now wonder if Argie tan Lofty is really tan or discoloured?
Love pkw xxx
Same as for cp lickety and cp shady, lofty also has a similar color base, with the difference that lickety and shady both have fading pink hair which turns yellow, so those 3 all can turn to brown, here is a pic of my argie cps licketys with "brown lickety", this is the same pony thats listed on the wiki, Im the one who provided the pic. Also for the record even though lickety is extremely brown, it still retains its original color on the inside, not the hair though, hair is yellow all over with no signs of pink. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Dylon dye works perfect also, at least ive used it many times with gr8 results, maybe you had bad luck and used a dye that was expired or something?
Which Rit Dye do you use? The normal powdery one, the normal liquid one or the RitDye MORE? I've used the powder with good results for hair and semi-good results for bodies but not the MORE yet.
I've always used the powder versions for both Rit and Dylon
