I've never seen He-Man and know nothing about She-Ra but wow, this set is so tempting! The box is almost gorgeous enough to justify a purchase!
I hope so too- so much! But... it doesn't look good that they didn't sell out very fast.
I'm thinking that the 11" size must not have appealed to the action figure collectors (who are the primary market for these dolls) and I'm thinking most fashion doll collectors just didn't know about them or maybe found them to close to action figures-

I think the $75 price tag is the only thing that might cause someone to balk.

Yeah that's probably part of it. Action figure collectors not used to paying so much, and fashion doll collectors aren't interested in a doll that looks like an action figure.
I actually think she is a reasonably good price- about the same as a mid-level collector Barbie and she has enough accessories and posing to make her worthwhile. Most 11" fashion dolls are $130 - $145 (Azone, Integrity)
She was only $35 with free shipping during their Black Friday sale- it was all I could do not to buy another...

I got her for $45 free ship which was quite a deal considering how big the box is!
It is sad but they lost me with the She-Ra figures when they made solid, non-brushable hair and those visible joints which make them look very masculine. They could have made invisible joints like the LLL dolls had, and brushable hair... oh well. Has made me save much space, the 80s series already takes up quite a bit. :lookround:
