Hello! I first made wings like these for my (AWESOME) swap partner this past spring. It inspired me to use them on other stuff for etsy over the summer, but I finally got around to making some for my own ponies. I wanted to share! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThey are made out of fantasy film and wire. These ones don't even have tabs anymore- the wire slides right down and holds into the second wave flutters, and I just bent it to fit the first wave flutters (the old foam tabs I used were a pain to get right!). It won't hold up to any play time.. but my girls are just for displaying anyway.  Since I have this (and sadly possibly the next) semester off school, I was thinking about opening commissions if there is any interest? I know repro flutter wings are desired, but I don't know much about how the alternative wings are wanted. I gotta make some extras for the rest of the flutters I want to collect. Looking at those empty mechanisms made me so sad!

It has been a while since I bragged here! The ponies have been spreading.  I can safely say that this will probably be my last full collection picture until I get a display case (which is far down the road). Taking all of them out of the boxes and then putting them back is so much work. I am a new blossoming sea pony addict. Anyone know how to stop the weight from rusting so I can put it back in? That's all...for now!

I can't help it. This Little Flitter's make over cracks me up. I never would have thought of it... visitors can't see pics , please register or loginWell, I'm trying to clean her up now! Unfortunately she has shells glued all up and down her tail and the glue is stuck in the fibers. I'm not sure how to get the lip stick off either (sunfading?). Just thought I'd share though in case somebody thought it was as funny as I did...

I am really noticing this on TE Bright Eyes. On two totally separate occasions/transactions, I rescued them from grimy pony lots. Their bodies were COVERED in a light film of purple ink stuff. They were evenly coated in every nook and cranky. It came right off with magic eraser leaving just a little discoloration here and there, but I am just so puzzled!! Was it really that common for kids to coat their ponies in...inky stuff? Part of me makes me question if it's plastic deterioration with the ink or something leaching out? At first I thought it was just some odd case with that first pony, but coming across it again makes me suspicious, lol.

Woohoo! The ponies I purchased from our lovely pandabear-chan arrived in the mail today!! This is my first time ever seeing a Gusty in person. She is so pretty!!! Oops. A pony I REALLY wanted popped up on ebay and her mint condition is really hard to find and doesn't come along that often. I absolutely just had to have her. I finally caved in and punched in my very high absolute MAX bid, closed my eyes and let it go. Turns out I actually won the auction at $1 less than my max bid.  Looking at previous auctions, I still feel like I overpaid by about $20 or so, but... too late. I got her. I'm really happy, I LOVE this pony, but at the same time... yikes. To make it more embarrassing, before I even found that auction, I purchased another one I found!! Her condition isn't as fabulous.. but now I'll have a double! Does anybody have any overpaying pony stories as either a buyer or seller? Those are fun and I'm trying to feel a little bit better rofl. I'm so tight with my money, but... I really wanted her!

I'd love to see some pictures of your softies! How do you store/display them? They are adorable and I'm so tempted to get one. I'm just worried about the space they'd take up because I KNOW having one will turn into having all of them. I'm mainly interested in G1 for myself, but pics of all gen plushies are most certainly welcome!! They are so cute.

Hello! I have been on a collecting hiatus since spring for the most part, but this month I got back in the groove and went a little crazy (for me)! Honeysuckle, Lily, Rosedust, Morning Glory, and Forget-me-not (not sure which one I want to keep for my collection). visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSunglider and a Buzzer upgrade!! I'm just two ponies away from completing my U.S. Winger collection now. I'm pretty sure Buzzer's hair is original curl, I just cleaned and detangled it, then let the curls dry back to what they were doing. I could really use some storage/container help. I live with my parents and both of them smoke in only one room in the house which is exactly two floors below me in the basement (this started earlier this year). I recently discovered that it is basically blowing STRAIGHT up into my bedroom through the vent. Candles, food.. I can smell anything they have down there rofl. I'm accustomed to the smoke smell, but I'm positive it's coming up too and I even had a pony buyer complain and that has never happened to me before (felt so bad about it but we both came to a happy agreement). If I spend a couple days at somebody else's house and become re-sensitized, I can smell smoke on my clothes and my hair REEKS until after a few washes. So I am fairly certain that I can't keep displaying my ponies without them smelling like smoke. Do you have any storage suggestions? Would a plastic airtight container be a bad thing, especially when they smell already? Any methods I could use to trap and keep my new ponies from smelling? Lol This is pretty frustrating- especially with a broken sniffer lol!
