Tired of ugly FiM ponies? Especially boys?

I know me and my sister are. After watching "Hurricane Fluttershy" she said that Hasbro had gone too far with it, referring to, well . . .
 
Anywho, is anyone else upset with the ugly ponies? With the other generations, there was no way ugly ponies could crop up because all their body shapes were the same. But in FiM . . . please tell me your thoughts!

I don't find them ugly, just silly.
Honestly, I was getting tired of all the cookie-cutter back ground ponies. I'm glad they're throwing in some different and unique body shapes.

Just realized I love how FiM is supposed to be about breaking stereotypes, and now you're complaining about them doing that. And its not even in any way that could possibly be offensive, unless different body types offend you, and it wouldn't be possible to ever not offend such a person. Like Bergamot said, not everyone's attractive to everyone else (or to anyone). And hey, at least the show has variety even if all the toys are color swapped cookie cutter clones.

I don't mind the intentionally funny ones, like Big Sig's brother there because, well, they're funny, but the ponies with facial hair freak me out. A lot. Especially when it's supposed to be taken seriously.

Overall though, I'm not sure how I feel about all the different shaped ponies. On the one hand, yay for diversity, on the other, I do kind of like the uniform look, especially since 1) the toys are all fairly uniform, and 2) the diversity seems to just play up stereotypes (big muscly guy with tiny...wings, goofy-looking annoying kid, slender and sexy female, etc.). And there's no diversity of the main cast, which is fine, but then it seems weird when other ponies look different.

Which might one add only appeared in one episode out of 48 of them and was only comic relief.

And in case you're talking about the average background extra,  I usually find them cute.
I mean there are a few ugly ones here in there (mainly those with facial hair), but not enough to say that Hasbro is "going too far" with something.

Aw, I loved Horse Power (EquestriaDaily's name for Man!Pony).  I just wish they could've shown him doing something girly, like brushing a doll's hair or having a tea party with a filly.  That would've been hilarious!  And actually kind of manly...

I love diversity, even in pony shapes.  It's one of my favorite things about FiM.  There's non-skinny girl ponies and all shapes of male ponies - like the real world.

lol I think he's kinda cute, if a bit sterotyped.  odd.  It's different and diverse, but it's also a bit of a stereotype.  O_o  Talk about your oxymorons.  Adding to that: he reminds me of Buck, the horse from Disney's Home on the Range...one of their movies that doesn't get the attention I think it deserves if you ask me.

I like that there are different shapes and sizes for that matter. Humans aren't the same size. And neither or real horses for that matter.
