The Equestranauts episode is amazing! It's on Netflix now, too. :D

These were the stuff of my childhood, too! I remember scraping up loose change to get them at the corner store.

Their looks sure have changed!

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Gah...no feedback from eBay buyers.

I usually leave feedback for buyers at about the time an item is delivered to their door. That way, they get their feedback notification, and it serves as a gentle reminder to leave feedback for me as well once they receive what they've bought. :)

Sending messages to make sure things arrived okay is also a great idea! They'll appreciate the gesture, and perhaps simply respond with feedback for you!

I guess I can't be grumpy if the doll quality is an upward trend instead of being an up-and-down thing! :) I'm not familiar enough with them to know their timeline, so it's encouraging to hear that Hasbro is learning and getting progressively better.

Is it just me, or do most of the EG dolls look like they were thrown together last minute?

I feel that way, too. I'm still having a hard time getting over how haphazard the toy line seems. The vast shift in quality from series to series and the presence of (at least) three different jointing combinations really confuse me. Also, PEG LEGS. (They've stopped doing that entirely, right? Maybe?)

One thing that is consistent is pony ears (but only for girls, I guess, as Wardah pointed out.).

Other doll lines seem to be much better planned out, with quality being much more consistent from release to release.

Do we know for sure that the price is $50? I know that's what bling DJ cost, but can someone at the Fair confirm?

I still like her a lot. Exclusives are always expensive for what they are. Muffin and those before her were just an FS pony priced at $30. No accessories or anything.

That being said, I'm hoping I can get Chicken!Pinkie for less than $50. ;)

That costume looks really good. I'm not a huge Pinkie fan, but I totally want her.

I'm excited that there's a light at the end of the tunnel for a Zelda collection... At least until another series comes out! I can't wait to get Ganondorf and complete my Smash Zelda collection.

Weird Al! Ponies! Star Wars costuming!

These might be my favorite photos of all time. Congratulations! :)

I'm excited about Coco's forelock, too!

Maybe they'll bring it back for future Twilight, RD, and Applejack releases, too. That would be super awesome!

Yesss!

It looks like Discord is only available to those who buy a full case.

But that's fine! Cheeselegs looks really cool! Also, we can pick the ponies we want! Yipee. :)

That's awesome! Thank you for looking into interest for a group buy, MoonBeamStar!

The page on the website now includes this:
"Temporatily Unavilable : Please check back tonight for an important update!"

I don't know what "Temporatily Unavilable" means, buuut...

Perhaps WLF has heard everybody out and they will no longer be blind boxed? Hooves crossed!

I do t think these images are photoshopped that much. They're color balanced and cut out, but I don't think the product has been touched up! Twilight's hair looks a little rough paint-wise.

I think the eyes just look funny because they're outlined in grey. They will probably be screened on like what we see with Hasbro's ponies.

EDIT: Finally got to look at these on my computer. I believe you are right; the eyes really do look 'shopped! Perhaps it's because they're still in the prototype phase.

In saying all of this, would anyone be interested in going in on this with me?  I don't want to spend the money and then have it go to waste, or have any trouble finding people to buy the extras from me.  I'd obviously sell them at $15 each, no crazy eBay prices.

So yes, this is me announcing that I'm willing to buy TWO BOXES OF THESE if there's enough interest from you lovely Arena members to buy the extras from me AT ORIGINAL COST!

Like I said, I'm just considering it.  That's a whole lotta money to spend, but I really would like a set of these figures.

I'd totally be in for Muffin and Rarity if you did this!

Oh gosh, I hadn't even read the description. I just looked at the pretty pictures.

They suggest buying  two cases of these to get a full set? Really?

It is a shame that they're doing this blind-box thing, but I don't think it will cut into interest enough for them to reconsider. For one, the gears are already turning. For another, they're more likely to sell out of their stock of all the ponies if they are distributed at random, without having the ones that prove unpopular linger around forever.

I guess I'm kind of lucky that I only want :muffin:...? It'll still be difficult to get, but I think a trading thread here on the Arena might help everybody get the pony they want without shelling out eBay bucks for them. The eBay market on even readily available non-blind-packaged WLF vinyls is crazy; I'd hate for folks to have to resort to that!
