Was there a 20th anniversary pony?

I'm feeling blonde, or a little old!

I can find the 10th anniversary birthday pony (my fave!), the 25th, 30th, 35th and 40th...

But I cannot find the 20th. Am I going bonkers?

They did a big celebration for MLP's 25th
That' the first time we got retros (3 pack original 6, and later the rainbow ponies), and they did the Birthday celebration collector's 7 pack of the Core7 G3s with inspirational words on them. There was also the cake box with Pinkie and Cotton Candy.

I don't think there was a 20th anniversary release^^' the 25th was in 2008 (iirc), so g3 would have come out right around the 20th anniversary, wouldn't it?

G3 came out in 2003. Which, if you believe the current anniversary timeline we're on (that this year is 40, rather than last year), then G3 itself would be a 20th anniversary release, as Shaiyeh said. But I don't think it was ever promoted as such. I really don't think Hasbro was thinking about that when they brought it out.

I think we didn't have a 30th either, it was the Basic Fun ponies for the 35th.

No, we didn't get a 20th. 2003 was the "Year of the Celebration" when G3 launched, but there wasn't any specific 20th birthday pony.

We got that Core 7 birthday pack in 2008 and the retro Collector and Rainbow sets then.

In 2012-2013, there was no 30th acknowledgement since G4 was arguably peaking. We got Basic Fun repros in 2017-18 for the 35th and the "Greatest Hits" SDCC set from Hasbro.

It's really cute. The tape deck on the front opens, and there are three (I think) cardboard cassettes. I do wish that Hasbro had given them fabric clothing, considering that they were a con exclusive. I also wish they'd released the other three Mane 6 gals. Instead, Applejack and Fluttershy only got pins.

So sorry for bumping this thread now, but I remembered another Anniversary release!
The g2 Anniversary/birthday playset (but oddly that's on 18 years?). Maybe this was just intended as a birthday themed playset, though. But that's the closest to 20 years xD (if we don't count the entire g3 line release, like previously mentioned )
