Were there any Queens in the history of MLP?

While there are loads and loads of Princesses in all of MLP's generations, what about the Queens? The only one I know of is Queen Sun Sparkle. Were there others? Wasn't there a queen of the flutter ponies or something? I couldn't find anything about it, so I'll ask here.

Were any of the G1 villains Queens? I thought in the episode with the new born twins there was, but I don't entirely remember since I didn't like that episode...

At the conclusion of the 'Princess ponies' episode, all of the Princess ponies (after fighting over who should be queen) finally compromise and decide to 'takes turns' being Queen (haha) So I guess they are all sometimes-queens? (Tiffany, Sparkle, Serena, Royal Blue, Primrose, whoever I've forgotten)

As others have said, Rosedust introduces herself as Queen of the Flutter ponies and Majesty is the queen of Pony land:) Majesty came with the castle (it's hers!) and there are G1 annuals and tape-recordings refering to her as the Queen.

Can't think of G1 Queen villains right now, then again I haven't seen every episode!

In that episode about  the newborn twins, the ponies are invited to a party by an evil 'Duchess'. Turns out she is an evil servant that stole the throne, and the rightful Duchess is hiding or imprisoned in the palace or something.

Um, there is the King of the Grundles and Lavan the king of demonic-looking-lava-people (but ok they are not queens).

I often wondered if Star Catcher could be considered a queen. Wasn't she the leader of the pegasus ponies during G3?

Kamakazee mentioned the Queen of the Bees which her name is Queen Bumble.

Was Porcina a queen or was she self proclaimed? I cannot remember haha.

I don't think G3 has any queens since there is a mayor. Different government system. But I think Star Catcher would be considered the leader of the Pegasi.
