I took an Ambien Monday night to sleep, and I woke up the next morning and had won myself on auction a new fursuit. Granted it wasn't too expensive, but why couldn't I have just bid on a pony or something???? It was actually one I saw the other day, but I guess my brain decided I needed it.

My friend took one while she was staying in my house, and she got up in the middle of the night, ran around down the hallways and slammed doors.
I wonder what the reasoning is behind why it does that!

Maybe ask your doctor for another drug? I know my doctor had me try other drugs before I tried ambien. I feel like I can't sleep without it sometimes, which I really hate.

Can you switch to something like Lunesta?  I remember when I went to Australia last, I told my doctor I wanted to sleep through the plane ride over but had never taken a sleep aid before, and she gave me Lunesta because she said the last thing she wanted me to do was have an "episode" at 10,000 feet...

I slept like a baby and wasn't met at the gate by the police, so I guess I didn't have any side effects.

It's just turning out expensive so far. That was the first time that ever happened- just glad I didn't get up and go for a drive or something! I'm scared to take it again, so I think I'll just ...not.

Yeaaaah that happened to me sometimes.  But not often.  I had taken one and then bought a couple shirts off Torrid.  Thankfully I was awake enough to add the code for 30% off.  I'm not all that happy I did it, but I love the shirts...

I switched to Lunesta which is MUCH better.  I stopped doing weird stuff when I stopped the Ambien.  Also I was getting blackout situations, where I was awake yet couldn't remember anything.

If you don't want to stop taking it, cut the pill in half, it might help.  If you're taking 10mg Ambien ask for 5mg.  Or see if you can take Lunesta or Sonourus.  I suggest Lunesta, you might end up with a nasty taste in your mouth, but it's worth it so you don't spend money unintentionally.

And yes, some people go for a drive while taking Ambien.  I was always afraid that I would do that, so I had my parents hide my keys at night when I took it.

Yes, I've tried that and Valerian. Neither helped me.

That is a crazy reaction!  Ambien makes me crazy too- not buy stuff crazy, but completely and weirdly out of it (awake though) and barf-my-guts-out sick.  There are definitely some strong-ass drugs in those things- and they absolutely affect people in different ways. If you have a bad reaction stay the heck away!

My husband got video footage (which I will not be sharing!!) of me on Ambian. It's pretty hysterical- I walk into the kitchen with, no lie, a My Little Pony in each hand. Gusty & Majesty. And I say something like, "Hey, those bad ponies are coming." DH says, "They are? what's going on?" while laughing. I say, "Zeus won't let those bad ponies in, he will kick their ass." Video cuts off there, DH gets me back in bed, and I never have taken an Ambien since then! Oh, and Zeus is my dog. He apparently guards us from bad ponies.

Theres a pill that my specialist once gave me that is meant for morning sickness in pregnancy.  Its expensive but when I took it I was out within 10 minutes (we were trying to control the nausea/vomiting issue I have)

Probably not. As I said it's basically unisom and vit b which is formulated for morning sickness.

Is extremely expensive as it's a new drug for the usa. (Although it existed in the USA many years ago, but they took it off the shelves due to worries. Funny enough its one of the safest drugs for pregnant women). It's been in Canada for quite awhile now. a single bottle cost me like 300 last year.
So.  No.. Unless you have severe morning sickness.

Although you can try unisom... It's over the counter.
