@Katrine, I am 99% sure you're right about the dark tulip Posey being in the Truly set, but that's not a widely distributed set in most parts of Europe. She was sold here in the set with Gypsy, Hopscotch, Honeycomb, UK CJ with the straight hair and Snowflake. I think in some other places she was sold in a set with Hopscotch, Snowflake, the Euro Lickety Split (dark symbols/curls/paler body) and Euro CJ (darker symbols/curls) and white Tootsie. I'm not 100% without looking it up whether that set would've been available for you or not.

She's no relation of the Movie Stars but her darker symbol is probably because Hasbro were printing darker symbols at that time for the SS set as well.

The Italian blue posey is gorgeous.

My sister also has a Posey army :) Her most recent addition was the Basic Fun one :)

It's correct that she was sold on the same card as white Tootsie among others (som was the one with light Tulips as well, but it might have been distributed in separate areas, or separated by production year, as both green and white Tootsie comes on that card, both liight and dark Tulip Posey, as well as light and dark coned ice cream Lickety Split.

I have both baby Firefly and bany Moondancer on Belgian cards, with glitter symbols. Both pat pend.  Card states US pat pend 1985, but not sure if that is the release date.
I'm pretty sure we had the carded version here in Sweden as well, with glitter symbols. I have seen the same cards, but with danish text, and another with type with english text as well. (I think we had the one with english text)

the seller has posted in one of the mlp groups on facebook, so I'm sure she will find a new owner, if they feel the price is right :)

I think one major thing to start with is to remove the "UK" labeling on many of the ponies. The truth is that most so called UK ponies, where widely available throughout Europe, and in some cases even other countries. Some ponies listed as UK on your site where not even sold in the UK. The UK-pony myth is a misconception that has been debuncted for years now, but still maintained amongst new collectors that uses sites with this information still listed as facts.
I would say that this is also a part in the general higher prices for these ponies, as the term "UK-exclusive" intends that they would be rarer then they really are.

I would suggest to start only with what is verified, and go from there, and then add the variants. I see a lot of mislabeled variants in there now. Better to remove them until they are 100% confirmed, then to spread misinformation, that will only lead to two things. One, a false "truth" that will take years to wash away from the comunity (and adding more years the longer it stays on the site), and second, that your site gets an unfortunate reputation of spreading false information and myths, which from your point of view will be hard to wash off. And as you have put down a lot of hard work into the site, it would be a pity if collectors would recommend other to NOT use the site, as it is full of errors.
Better to have gaps in the information, and know that the information you have is right, then to have lots of information, where a big part is wrong.

Sounds spanish yes. If she is in baby Embers pose, and has 13 drops, then she is spanish :)  The normal Hong Kong one only has 9 drops, and are stamped Hong Kong, and the German and Greek versions are in baby Blossoms pose ^^

I'm not sure if you can see this, but this is supposed to be Cloud Puffs ribbon, and it seems more pink then purple to me.

No theories from me, but as a "not so much fan" of Speedy, I would have loved if she where Ice-skating themed instead.  Light Blue with light pink and white hair  :inlove:

I collect variants of Lemon Drop, so I have a few  :P  2 HK, 1 NC/Spanish, 3 German, 1 greek, and a MIB NC/Spanish. (A MOC NC/Spanish as well. But she is not really MOC anymore, as she broke during shipping to me  )

Pony Corral / Re: Mail Order Majesty Discolors Less?
« on: March 29, 2021, 12:16:56 PM »
I'd be very careful of determining whether a Majesty came from MO versus the playset strictly on the hairline.

Agree, my childhood one from the playset (in Sweden) has her hairline down almost to her horn. I dont remember when I got her, but I do have a box for the dreamcastle (not the one from my childhood though) that is swedish sold, and is marked UK 1985 (pony made in HK). I'm not sure if all boxes are marked with the same date regardless of when they where released though, or if they updated the years when they made any changes.

Mystery solved! Someone on Facebook let me know that the plushes sold in Canada had that type of tag instead of the Hasbro one.

Oh, great to know! Thanks for sharing! :)

I think every set has their unique colour combinations, but then in what order the ring colours comes are random.
