Pony Corral / Re: What playsets did you have in your childhood ponies?
« on: September 28, 2016, 05:32:15 PM »
I had.... Show Stable, Mail Order Pretty Parlor, Dream Castle, and the Waterfall. My mom put them all out for trash pick up oneday when I was in middle school. This is probably why I now hoard ponies and have trust issues. Lol

I knew about that variant but did not know her name was "Crash". Anyone know if this is a fan given name?

I have him but need his bow tie.

I remember getting the pamphlet in the mail and was so excited that there was finally going to be a pony BOY! I would cut my horseshoe points and give them to my mom. I think she forgot to send away for this one as I had to buy him when I was 30.  :|

Have her! Probably more than 1. I will have to unpack and go through theme soon.

I bought one of the closed-mouth Breast Cancer Awareness ponies and had the chance to get the open-mouthed one as well and I passed her up and wish I hadn't.

Also, I wish I had bought more of the MOC Greeks that were on ebay circa 2004 while they were going to relatively cheap. I did get two though :)

Ditto on both! I also had the chance years ago to buy a complete Rapunzel for $300. *cries*

Was it an ebay sale? If so, Ebay will take 10% of that for the fees. So the seller may have padded their shipping costs  to cover the fee? Also there's Shipsaver insurance for about $1.00 or so depending on ending price. I wouldn't sell anything on ebay without it. (USPS insurance is utter junk.) So if that's the case the seller's handling fee was about $1.05 not bad and way cheaper than what Kohl's just charged me ... just a thought!

Off Topic / PC: 1990 Cherry Merry Muffin & Ice Cream Friend
« on: July 01, 2013, 08:57:40 PM »
I could use some help. I have a 1990 Cherry Merry Muffin doll (with pants) and her original little ice cream friend. I couldn't find another set of these anywhere to get a price. I have a lot of interest in them but I don't know where to start. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

(I will upload a photo soon. My camera is being a pain.)

Ollie's recently had some of that line in stock. (If you have one of those stores nearby.)

Years ago when my son was a baby (he's 18 now  ) I was up early in the morning with him doing normal morning stuff. A little while later I noticed guys in trench coats with guns drawn in my backyard. I then hear a loud knock on the door. As I open the door I see a gun in my face and a cop asking me loudly, "WHO ELSE IS IN THE HOUSE??!". "It's just me and my son", I say". Then I hear someone yell, "IT'S COLD!" from the back of my house. The cop at my door just left, no apologies. Everyone else took off as well.

I later find out that the local bank was robbed by a couple guys in a black Camaro... I had a GRAY Trans Am. *FAIL*  -_- I'm glad nothing too serious ever happens in my town! The police can't even get colors or car brands right!

Congrats on your find! She looks like a lemon swirl with faded buttercream lips. I can't say for certain on the euro thing. They only way I know of on telling the difference is if the doll is still in the packaging and is wearing the Fashion Queen swimsuit not her original red one. Her face and coral lips are very similar to ones I see all the time in the US.

The numbers imprinted on her arms, buttock, etc are just mold numbers.

You did well at only $1. She is easily worth $50+ Keep in mind that crazy collectors like myself will only buy retouched (paint) dolls that have been colorwashed so they can go back to original. ;)
