Ouch.  I wonder if they will go "on sale" at some point?  The prices for most of the SDCC exclusives seemed really high to me, but I imagine it was because of the cost of the packaging maybe?

Oh who am I kidding-  I'm getting her right now.  I love the G1/G3 Twilight and the box art and the combo of the new/old pony- the entire display is very appealing

I recorded an unboxing and will edit...... eventually. I will say the hair quality is nicer than were used to.
Also, is Twilight Sparkle's hair blue or purple on the toy? I'm going crazy and can't figure it out. I was going to reroot her (might reroot regardless because the hair I have is a better match for her show counterpart) but I'd like to know. Maybe it was my lighting, it's hard to tell.

I'll have to edit it tonight to show everyone. I personally ripped a bit of the box because I grew impatient but yes! And the spinning is done by just two pieces of plastic inside the outer box. I was imagining something much more of a hassle to open and take out but I was surprised!

I wouldn't say that. Everybody perceives hues differently.

uhh...  okay.....   well you can pick whatever color you want to call it, but the "hue" in the hair matches the color of the font used on the box for "Twilight" which I personally, would call purple, and is just a slightly lighter shade of purple than the purple pictured in the graphic of Twilight.

Or maybe this makes it easier-  it's this color:

After having received my hasbro-style G-3/G-1  "retro" ponies-  I realize they are the same size as Twilight.

I wish they'd do a set now with all Retro patterns

Since they already have the sculpts.

It's really long, which I guess is good if you like detail. It goes into a lot of detail.
