This is really weird (to me), it's still hard for me to believe.
About a decade ago or maybe a couple years before I was really into collecting g1 ponies again. Luckily both my mom and dad loved buying me them from Ebay and really expanded my collection a ton, but I loved hunting for them in person, so I told my mom I wanted to go to a bunch of places and find some and we were really determined to do it.
We went everywhere that day, spent the whole day hunting in thrift stores and antique shops and flea markets driving a really long way from home even. Found nothing. Not a single one. We pretty much went everywhere she could think of and were pretty much out of time on top of it, so we had to give up for the day and I was really bummed out. At home we were on the porch while my mom was unlocking the door and she was talking to me trying to console me that we didn't find anything when I saw something brightly colored in the mud a long ways away from the house and went to see what it was. SURE ENOUGH, it was a g1 pony. Princess Royal Blue. We were both floored. We still talk about how crazy it was.
It was the early 2000s so it's really awesome that an 80s pony was out lost the day I needed to find one.
I cleaned her up and she's perfect except for frizzy hair.
