EQ Dolls picture (POSSIBLY prototypes?)

Hmm, not sure what to think... this Twilight is actually kinda cute, she was the cutest of all the dolls in the first picture of them too. I really wish she had more articulation though, but I am glad that both her and Sunset Shimmer have outfits that are all fabric, even if Applejack still has the plastic looking bodice. I wonder what the prices are going to be like... also I find it kinda strange that Applejack seems to be identical as the first photo?

Twilight still looks to have molded straps on her shoulders, but it's hard to really tell. I'm just kind of.... ehhh. It looks like they tried. But they kept the rat-tails and the pony ears, and didn't change Applejack at all... I'm disappointed.

I do like the choice of fabrics and prints used on their skirts. I guess the school has a very loosely defined bodice-and-skirt dress code/uniform? I hated their boots/legwarmers in the artwork, and don't like them much more in plastic form - I was theorizing they might help the dolls stand on their own, but I'm not so sure about that now. And why is Applejack wearing a cloche?

As for the dolls themselves, I prefer the closed mouth heads, something looks a little off about the ones with teeth. Way too much eye makeup, but then all their lipstick is generic red or pink? At least give Rarity a nice plum, she isn't wearing a speck of pink!  Those tails need to go, they didn't even curl Pinkie Pie's.

Despite my nitpicking, they could be more terrible. But... well, but. It might be nice to see one in the hands of a customizer who's good at new face ups and making shoes, to start.

Seriously, my least favorite part has always been the shoes.

not a doll collector ,but is a good move on Hasbro ,they have to compete for the doll market and  MLP is their strong base ,would have been silly not  to use it, It has some originality so it cool they created them

They could have used another property they owned. Like Jem. I mean I like these, well the heads and clothes anyways, but I would have have rather seen a line of popstar style dolls than human ponies.
