I need some examples of pony names that would work for humans. I realize that any name can be a human name, but some are just not ok. I refuse to pick up my daughter, Tink-a-tink-a-too, from preschool. Whizzer? Maybe a cute nickname during potty training, but other than that....
So what are some good human pony names? I know someone here has a child named Ember, and Ivy is a pretty good one. Anyone have a child named for their ponies? Or if you were going to name your kid after a pony, which one would it be?
(Just in case anyone's child IS named Tink-a-Tink-a-Too, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. You are a brave soul.)

Hahaha, yeah, some names are out there even for a pony. How about twins Whizzer and Floater? (sorry, I had to :P)
Ok, so for real, I love both Ivy and Ember. Blossom sounds cute, but as I'm not a native English speaker, I don't know how ridiculous it sounds to you guys ^^
Then there's (December) Holly - one of my favourite names.
Maybe (Princess) Primrose? Rosette? I'm really reaching here :)

Blossom is a little out-there... But some of the princesses have nice names, like Serena. :)
On a side note, I'm totally going to start calling my niece Tink-A-Tink-A-Too. :P

Yeah, the alternative would be nicknaming the kid after a pony. Doesn't have to be related to their actual name. And I think that'd be pretty sweet, actually.

There's always the US princess pony names, Tiffany, Serena and Amber are all perfectly reasonable names :)

Billie, Katie and Susie the Best Friends Ponies are the ones that spring to mind. I always thought they were a bit strange as a child because they had 'boring old human names'! A bit off topic, but I wonder if they were named after real people?

Blossom was the name of a chick on a tv show in the early 90's, called Blossom.
My dog is Autumn. It could be like Autumn Skye but she predates that G3.
Meriweather is the first name of Lewis (of the Lewis and Clark expedition).

You could always go for AJ (for Applejack). Or Cadence? Belle (short for Sweetie Belle)...I'm not very good at this :what:

Besides the ones already mentioned, I thought of Melody, Angel, Ruby, and Pearl.
And for g2 pony names thought of Eve and Fern

Fifi, Lily, Tiffany, Serena, Primrose, Dawn, Misty, Angel, Melody (as In Love melody), Bonnie (as In Bonnie Bonnets), D.J, Tabby, Dahlia (as in Dainty Dahlia), Ember, Violet, Daisy, Rose, Poppy and Holly, and that's just the US g1's...

May Belle?
Every time I see this pony or hear her name, the Beastie Boys pop into my head. May Belle, it's the ill communication. May Belle, it's the ill communication!
Oh my goodness, I completely forgot about Tiffany and Serena! Those are two of my favorite human names, and my favorite princesses! (Especailly Serena)
I think I should start calling all my nephews Tink-a-tink-a-too. That would be fun!

My kittie's name is Maybelle : ) I named her that because she was born in May and is such a pretty girl. I usually call her Bells or Belly and she comes running to all three names : )

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Lyra and Trixie from G4. :) Those are human names. Or at least Lyra is one.

I've known a Blossom & a Minty in my time, but neither of them were named after the ponies. xD
I think Ember's a beautiful name for a girl. :)

I would never name any child Fifi because I just think it's a typical name reserved for French poodles, and I just imagine a poor child with bad hair day, EVERYDAY!
I can think of:
-Brandy - name of Lemondrop's dog
-MIsty
-Windy - someone I know in NYC gave this name a whole new meaning, so probably not a good idea. WHat do you become when you eat too much onions and beans!? Some did consider this a middle name tho...
- Skye -from Autumn Skye, SKye is a nice name
-Madoline - maybe I'm just bad at spelling, I believe that's Wingsong's name in French

- Molly - it may be Megan's lil sis, but I just associate Molly with a cow
- Rose - one of the birthflowers?
- April - taken from one of the birth month pones? April is a nice name.

Stella (baby stella) is a beautiful name.

When the cartoon was translated and voice in other countries than US many ponies got new names.
I sometimes pick on my bf saying he is "part of my collection" :P By coincidence he shares his name with Italian version of Gusty (Gustavo), my fave pony. :P

Lol! My cat is called Luna...although at 14 she has been around longer than the pony incarnation. But thats the name I thought of as well...I love the name.
There are also princesses like Misty and Dawn. And of course Megan!

My youngest daughter is named Serena - and there's Princess Serena. But my husband has credit for naming her, so I can't say she's named after a pony, lol.
I had a classmate in high school named Blossom.

I was actually thinking of Luna, but then I wasn't sure if anyone was really named that (aside from the Harry Potter character).

Logan is the name of the colt that ends up joining the fillies only club in the My Little Pony Tales episode, "The Tea Party".
