One thing though, why are the markers weird colors for their hair? :blink:Seems like you'd have to collect a whole lot of these because you could finish coloring Rainbow Dash properly.
wonderful! except I'm gonna Goof Off (tm) those strange black lines!!!
XD
WOAH! I can't process this lol. I guess they're taking a page out of their LPS book? I'm not sure I like them, but a pony they're encouraging me to draw on...I could get on board with this!
Let's just hope this doesn't encourage little girls to draw on their ponies even MORE than they already do >_> I swear about half mine have some kind of marker on them.
oh! I forgot about the whole "drawing on ponies" trend:drunk: Yes please!
this could start... :(
maybe they need a waiver to sign at checkout... "I hereby swear to never color on any pony except the pony in this package.". notarized!!!
These kinda make me think that in 30 years when people are trying to collect retro G4s the big expensive/rare ponies to get will be unpainted version of these guys XD
Their cheeks do look a little...odd. But I do like how they captured the cartoon's pointier noses with this mold. Give a little to get a little, I suppose!Guess it's personal opinions on this, I personally don't like the pony noses that's in most of the vector art for the ponies but I didn't notice it in the molds for these two till it was pointed out :|
OMG, I NEED that Fluttershy! It's the first ever one with molded hair!!!! I think I would paint her hair pink and her wings yellow so I will have a molded hair version of her!

I'm doing the exact same thing. I love Fluttershy, so it's nice to finally see one with molded hair other than the McDonald's versions.
Aww, the black lines on them are permanent? I hope they're just paint so they can be removed. I'll definitely pick up a second RD to make into a :muffin: Pony. I can't wait to see how big these are.Nothing is permanent :P Not after I get my hands on it anyways!
People should keep in mind these toys are for CHILDREN, not for collectors. It's not all about us. The black lines are to help kids separate the different colors on the hair and to give them some variety, and the same is true for the 'tattoos' on the pony body. (And like several people have said already, they most likely won't be hard to take off.)

Right, Hasbro bifurcates between collectors and kids in its Star Wars lines as well. I could also see this working against us though, if they completely heed the bronies and only make molded hair collector ponies :( While I like quality, I don't care so much for complete screen accuracy.People should keep in mind these toys are for CHILDREN, not for collectors. Agreed - it's becoming clearer and clearer that Hasbro has a bifurcated marketing strategy. One category is for children, the other is for collectors and bronies. A lot of the new TRU stuff is definitely more geared toward us. This could actually work out to our favor, because Hasbro is aware of our product quality concerns ;)
..and especially one to repaint as FIREFLY!!!
lol every time this gets bumped I think they've been found and end up disappointed XDI know same!
Aww, I thought this was bumped because someone found them.
I just noticed something on the packaging that I missed before. I think the markers are swapped. It shows Fluttershy with pink and green hair on her packaging, but she's packaged with red and purple markers, which are shown on RD's packaging. And the missing colors from Fluttershy are packaged with RD.
I hope these will be out before Christmas. I really want them.
Now that's a new kind of pony. Quite creative, actually. They are just like the color your own LPS that used to be out. I wonder if those black outlines are really permanent or just stickers?

I heard that the black lines come of easily. I hope >_<

I really like the idea, and of course I need all things Rainbow Dash, but I can't help but wish they were all white.
