Raye, those jointed doll pictures do look a lot better! I wonder if they have a "deluxe" line with extra outfits and articulated knees.

The molded-on base shirts still drive me nuts. Aaauugh.

Hey, articulated version!  And I have to say I love the winged boots Raibow 'deluxe' wears.  Maybe I'll get one to put on the shelf of bizarre dolls.


But I SERIOUSLY don't understand why Pinky is the only one to get a round eye shape. Why not Rainbow? And Fluttershy really needs her sad eyes.

I just might get that deluxe Rainbow Dash.  Might.  I wonder how big they are and if their clothes fit Monster High.  I like the rainbow outfits.

...I really, really love that Rarity doll. I feel kind of embarrassed now because I wasn't going to get the dolls, but if they have a good price tag on them, I might have to go tell my Dad to look elsewhere in the store, go buy them, sneak them out to the car and return  But if the price is high I might just get one, most of my spending money is reserved for the really cool pony stuff they're coming out with this year!

The quality could be so much better, but meh, they're alright!

EDIT: On the prices, I might not get every one of them then. But I really like Rarity, Sunset Shimmer, and Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy doesn't look shy at all, and she has the darker pink hair like the early version of herself did. With Twilight and Pinkie, they're alright, but I don't love them to death. We'll just have to see how well they sell and if they ever mark any of their prices down. For the deluxe figures I certainly don't love that pricetag

Entertainment Earth has these listed on their site. They have the singles listed at $16.99 and the deluxes at $25.99. EE is usually a smidge higher than retail so I could see the singles being around $12.99-ish and the deluxes at $21.99-ish.

Hmm, after looking at them I think at least Twilight and a Rarity will be coming home with me. I do hope all the dolls are more like the Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash dolls, as those seem to have joints. I do not hate any of the doll but they could at least have fabric clothes and not plastic tops. Sunset Shimmer doll is nice but the miss match legs I do not like. I will wait and see if I truely like any of these after I find them in a store.

The outfits for the deluxe ones still seem pretty basic, even if you get two. Quantity over quality. I guess they want to put out as many units as possible, hence all the sleeveless dresses. And rather than attach the sleeves to Rainbow's outfit there, just make a couple cloth tubes and slip them on her arms instead. Just business, but it makes the end result feel homogenized.

I'm liking these new pictures quite a bit more; they're definitely cuter, the makeup and expressions have a little more personality. The crazy hair rat tails they all have are seriously sloppy-looking, though. And I'm still awfully disappointed in the super cheap quality--molded tops? Blergh. So lazy and boring. Such a massive lack of detail! The "deluxe" ones with the extra clothes (and joints?! please yes) are nicer, I kind of like the Fluttershy.

But I can only imagine the Canadian prices (if the deluxe are $20-25 American they'll be $25-30 Canadian) and there's NO way I think they look worth that. If I do grab Fluttershy, it won't be til she goes on sale.

Sigh. Less bummed than before, but still rather bummed... (Oh well, more money for MH... and EAH!)

So Rainbow Dash became Rainbow Brite.
Pinke can't decide on one skin colour so her head and torso are pink, arms peach and legs lilac.
Fluttershy looks like a Regina Gorge rather than sweet self.
Oh, and all of them have their eyes too far apart.

Goodie.
I think only Pinke Pies expression bears resemblance to the original character.
