Urm, my laptop has a white screen when I boot it up

I think technology hates me.

My laptop had to go in for some repair work because of an issue with the charger port, and then the problem came back.

And I've just picked up my laptop again, taken it home. The charger problem seems to be fixed but now I have nothing but a white screen when I turn the laptop on.

I've tried googling for information but can't find much, I can't seem to get it to go into any start up modes yet I can seem to adjust screen brightness.

It's an ASUS K53E

That doesn't sound good! Could you call the repair shop and asked them? Maybe they know what's going on. After all it seems to have happened there right?

Yeah I dropped it off again, apparently it will get looked at tomorrow.

Hmm.  I have no idea what could cause that.

I'm being hopeful that its a quick fix like the engineer had put my laptop in a certain mode or something.

I don't know hun, sounds like it might be your graphic card that's going..or possibly something is up with the screen?

Sounds like a hardware issue. Maybe the cable to the monitor or your graphics card.

It's a laptop so there's no monitor cable.

But yeah when I got the message yesterday it was basically 'laptop is fixed, working fine!' and then when I got it home this happened.
