What made you choose it? Got a story behind it?
I chose Leave a Whisper because one I wanted something pretty and unique and two I first heard the phrase "Leave a whisper and nothing more" in a fantastic fanfic and really liked it.

Mines..complicated but involves what was happening around the time I chose it and has to do with a particular video game, and music :)

Mine comes from a joke email address my brother and I made ages ago. After my old email address got hacked, I decided to start using the unused joke 'mopthebunny' one.
'Mop' is actually a toy rabbit of my brothers that I made XD

urocyon cinereoargenteus, funny enough was taken as an email on gmail so I kept the genus and changed the species to just fox. It worked on almost everything, I have gotten urocyonfox on almost everything I've ever signed up for now!

It came from a My Little Pony name generator some time ago, and I remember thinking "Hey, I actually like that! =P", and then when joining here it felt like the most appropriate username.

Mine is taken from my pony character's name, which in turn came from the initial root that a plant puts down before it starts building a full root system in the ground. It's also a reference to a nu-metal band because I make a lot of tongue-in-cheek references to early 00s music in some short, silly and very surreal stories. :drunk:

Sundown was the name of an old MLP character I created in my teens. I've considered changing it multiple times, but quite a few people know me by this name so I think I'll stick with it.

Mine came from my persona - I created her first, playing around in MS Paint. Then when I signed up here I just used that. :)

My beloved kitty's name :) And that fact she is no longer with me makes the name a lovely memorial.
Plus Ancient Egypt myths and legends and history rocks :P

When I first started collecting my hubby started referring to me as "ponylady" instead of calling me by my first name.

The "Cade" portion of my username is a nickname that I gave to one of my favorite Transformers characters (Barricade from the live-action movies). As for the "Pony" portion of my username... *shrugs* I don't know why, I just added it to "Cade" and left it at that.

I can't remember exactly, but it may have come from an assignment I had to write for English class in my Junior year of high school. I think it had something to do with what the future would be like, and I wrote down something about Newscorp resurrecting Richard Nixon as a zombie to run against a cyborg Al Gore in that year's presidential election. I started using the name for a few games, but now I use it in some form for a lot of websites.

I was living in Scotland when I first became a member here and had three kids at the time (now four). I once joked to my children that my angry self was a "momster," so it just sorta clicked. ^.^

Princess Starlily is a character that lives in the Ponyland my cousin and I made up when we were little. ^.^ Queens Star Catcher and Lily Lightly ruled the country (we loved the G1 cartoons, so Megan was also a main character), and I made the two of them Starlily's grandmothers. (Get it? Star...lily? :P) Not only is she the first-ever winged unicorn in my world, but also Ponyland's historian and recorder, as I love history and genealogy.
Really it's a nostalgic name for me, as I came up with it when I was like ten and have never considered changing it...even after adding three more ponysonas to the ranks, Starlily will always remain in my heart as the first and best. :heart:

northstar is a synonym for the name of a favorite Marvel superhero: Polaris. The 3184 are the 4 digits in my six-digit birthday: 10-31-84.

Mine is Sailor Moon based, the FIM character is an awesome coincidence! I'm a huge moonie, and way back I had named my cat Luna after the cat in the show. Usagi/Serena is the moon princess, and luna also means moon, so I put those together, added my then zip code (no real reason, to be unique maybe? lol) and there ya go!
A few peeps I know here call me "princessluna buncha numbers" and I actually kinda like that :heart:

Although I've been thinking of requesting to change my username to my actual first name, since I'm 99% sure no one else on here has the same name as me irl. :lol:

I'm a huge trekkie!! My favorite star trek critter is a tribble. I feel it identifies me as a trekkie and sci fi lover. 79 is my birth year. I use this name all over the internet.

My screen name is old as dirt. I like elves, though I liked wine(I actually hate wine, gin for life!) my bday is on the 26th day or the month. P: Pretty dull but I never have to fight anyone for my screen name so it's mines.

My favourite pony is G1 High Flyer which sports a dragonfly as its symbol. "Libelle" is German for "dragonfly". Simple as that. :P

I actually didn't give myself this username, but the 'kit' comes from Warriors (really young cats have -kit as part of their name, like Leafkit) and the Pony part is obvious.

The first time I went into a MLP chatroom (DreamValley, back in 1999) I had to think of a username. My first thought was Teddy because I was obsessed with him and the Tales series. The name stuck and I've been known as "Teddy" everywhere in the MLP world ever since.

Love this thread! I think I first used buddyboymama as my Words With Friends username, and it stuck. At the time, I didn't have any non-furry kids, and I treated my dog like a kid (still do sometimes). Now I have two non-furry kids ... both girls. I've thought of changing it to something pony related, but I use it everywhere.

Well... I created a while ago this evil character in some video game and wanted to give it a girly cute name. I named it cupcake....but that was taken. sprinkle cupcake.... wasnt taken LOL so from there i used it on everything, every username. I used to add 'puff' to the end of it to make it more riduculous. Nowadays, I go by 'Princess Lala Sprinklecupcake' as im often refered to a Disney princess by family, friends, and coworkers and Lala has been my nickname since 7th grade because Lari is apparently too hard to remember and not (as) cute as Lala.

My name was an old facebook name I was using, after Artemisia Gentileschi. She painted a rather stirring picture of two women be-hedding a man with a rusty sword. I had a break up issue.

Aerora is a spell from KH/Final Fantasy! It's also kind of close to what I was almost named, but I don't remember if that was related to why I started using it.

If I take the time to capitalize mine correctly, it's BarBGirl1999...but most sites revert it back to all lower case, so I don't bother anymore, lol. It's "BarBie Girl" because I've been a Barbie collector for as long as I can remember and 1999 is the year I graduated High School.
Fun fact - BarBGirl was my first email address EVER, back when you still had to pay for an AOL address, haha! I added the 1999 after high school and I've used it ever since. Everywhere. If you google it, you get like, 40 pages of my stuff, LOL!

The Beatles are far and away my favorite band (my avatar is also evidence of that) so I like using Beatle inspired things for my user names. HelloGoodbye is definitely my most common username because a). it's a great song and b). it just has a nice ring to it. I used PennyLane for a while on some other websites, but that name is often taken, so I just switched over to using HelloGoodbye as my first choice. It's not the most creative name, but I quite like it :)

Mine is kind of a long story. ^^; When I was a kid I used to write stories and then my friends and I would act them out with ponies. One of the characters was named Natalie and she was kind of a spoiled brat. Hence, Queen Natalie. ^.^ Also, her pony actor was Cool Breeze, which is why she is my avatar.

Back when Dream Valley's chat was around, I used the handle of Gusty while in the chat. With Gusty being a rather popular pony at the time (and now, still, I guess!), I just added a STL in front of it (as that's the nearest big city to me and I love all of the St. Louis sports teams). I toyed with making my user name HockeyPony, as that used to be part of my signature in the old mail groups (I think it was like Gusty/Glory the HockeyPony <\___~ or something weird like that). Instead, I stuck with STLGusty and had the arena modify my title to be HockeyPony :)

I got my user name on here from Marilyn Manson I used to be a Big Fan of his I Still like him and everything but I am a Big Fan of Black Veil Bride's Now

I took some Japanese courses in college and always remember nemu or nemui as being the verb or adjective meaning to sleep. My job course is late at night so I end up sleeping my work days away like a lazybones. Don't worry I get up on my days off, life's too short not to have fun.

From a so soft truly my very best friend got me, she saw Truly and had to get her for me "because she's just like you!" As I adore doves and have an albino dove :) also the super soft fur is great to touch, and my friend knows I have difficulty in feeling/touching things (difficult to explain, but when I touch something I feel like it's not actually there) and thought that as I get better I can feel the soft fur :)
In other words, Truly will always be special to me because of a great friend! So what could be a better username? :)

Everyone thought there were 9 Ringwraiths... but I'm the forgotten tenth. ;) I've had this username on every website ever since the early 2000s. I would start using a different one, but this is what everyone on the whole internet knows me as, so that would be difficult!
I can say when I first used it, though: on the really old Nintendo forums you were allowed to use special characters in your username, so I made up Ringwraith#10. But then all of the other websites I used didn't allow special characters, so the # sign went away.

I have gone by Growly or Denali all over the internet for the longest time, but I wanted a pony-specific username for here, so I used my ponysona. :)
Iris Patch's name works on multiple levels- I like purple, patches because I sew, iris patch is a bit of a pun itself, and Iris was the song my husband and I danced to at our wedding. ^_^

I started writing this fantasy story when I was 13, and it evolved five years later into an epic trilogy (never finished :( ). A sect of extremely powerful unicorns trained to hone in on and fine-tune their magic were called Silver Healers, with their "graduates" being called White Healers. They did pretty much everything in their herd groups.
