I just saw the second wave of baby seaponies at my local Fred Meyer, so they do have them in brick and mortar stores in the US. Maybe there’s hope for the hippogriffs.

Some of my more expensive things (dolls, signed books, childhood collections) got thrown out and now I have to decide if I'm willing to pay the hundreds it will take to replace it all

Did you know there was a variant of Ribbon wishes where her hair started with a blue instead of purple? A lot of people don't

This reminded me of the old Rereleases Encyclopedia! It went offline recently, and now the URL just returns the 404 not found error :/ But when it wasn't up, it had the differences catalogued between any G3 with multiple editions. Super helpful. Used it a lot to ID my thrift finds. I love G3! They were my childhood pony, and I'm so glad they're so common to find at thrift stores now. I find them about as often as I find G1s.

The only time I bought anything was when I noticed Caribbean Delight and Beach Belle hidden in a small lot for $5.00. Shipping cost nearly $20 though

Oh boy, I have to dig up a photo of my Sweet Pop. I got her as part of a bait box from MLPExpress, and I've fondly referred to her a my pirate pony. Her hair is almost completely buzzed, and one of her eyes appears to be melted. It's completely speherical instead of gem-cut and filled with air bubbles. The other one is just fine, albeit a few scratches.

For anyone that likes seaponies - the Amazon exclusive glitter Pinkie Pie is on sale for the all time low of $14.00. I ordered mine a few days ago for $15.50 and the price just keeps dropping. Plus, if you want one to keep out of box, there's Amazon warehouse discounted ones for $11.75. Just a heads up

Hi, I'm up very late tonight because I feel like I can't sleep until Ifigure out what my old toys from childhood are called. Really, I'm trying to find then again. What I remember is that they were plastic cats with brushable tails and rotating heads, similar to Little Pretties. These, however, all came in the same pose - tall, skinny, and sitting on their haunches. Their heads were kind of similar to Catwalk Kitties. Each one came with a little ribbon collar with a tag that had the initials of the brand name. The two I had were green with a pink tail, and purple with a pink tail. Any ideas? I bought them in the early, mid-2000s.

I once answered a Craigslist ad, over 100 G1 for $50. We had gotten to the stage where I was arranging a date for pickup... and then nothing. Not even a courtesy email saying they had decided to sell to another person. Just dead air. I still think about that sometimes.

I think you can purchase these through the online Disney shop? They sell Disney Parks merchandise there, and I actually believe they're running a special on these bracelets right now.

Pony's head wouldn't come off. Cue the x-acto knife. Cue putting slices into her body. Cue desperately trying to glue her head on, not realizing it's superglue, leaving white globs around her neck. Yeah, Applejack is a mess. Yeah, I cringe every time I see her. Yeah, I might have three more by now. But she's still my favorite.

First of all congrats! That yard sale sounds like a lot of fun. Second of all, the Care Bear is Birthday Bear! He's one of my favorites.

Two words:
Pony house.
Same!! That's exactly what I've been (unrealistically) wishing for. Rooms for each generation with dioramas and playsets. Like, there could be three G3 rooms: one with Ponyville set up in the middle of the room decorated in pinks and purples, another one decked out to look like Butterfly Island in tropical colors, and a third pastel room for the Crystal Rainbow Castle. Then the bathrooms are all outfitted for pony/doll spas. First floor is ponies, second floor could be dolls and other misc. toys. A personal museum, really. Yes. That would be perfect.

It depends. Some Goodwill stores sort through their merchandise before it goes on the floor and choose the most valuable or sought after items to put on ShopGoodwill.com. If your store if one of these, they'll usually put the vintage ponies online.

I use to subscribe to the bait box from MLPExpress, but the service never came back after the summer like it was said to.

I think the general consensus about that condition is that the red dye fades/leeches out of the purple, leaving only the blue behind. Would love to see pics though!
