The secondary market has been flooded for a long time. The second hand supply isn't going to dry up in the next 5 years.
The doll that has the same name as your daughter is a bit different. I'd have trouble resisting that to. Although, I'd keep it small. Like the books or one outfit.
Beforever was a rebranding of the historical line. They just discontinued the use of the name a few months ago.

Honestly, I'd just wait until your daughter is old enough and let her pick which doll(s) she wants. They're too expensive to risk buying a doll that she might not connect with.
The reason that AG started making the dolls lower quality is because the company has been in financial trouble for years. They're starting to turn things around, but they still have a long way to go. They dug themselves into quite a deep hole.

The item was packaged and shipped by Amazon. It includes an Amazon packing slip and an Amazon gift receipt. This was not packed up in somebody's home.
I believe after I bought the item on eBay, the seller used a stolen credit card to buy one on Amazon. They get to keep the money I sent them through PayPal without paying for the product I was shipped.
I've been looking for a case for so long that I recruited a friend in PA to help me search. One of the first places he looked was Amazon and found only, as he put it, "cheap Amazon junk". I'm not sure why it didn't turn up for him when he looked before Christmas.
I didn't look on Amazon myself. I rarely shop on their site. I don't like how they've taken over the world. I prefer to spread my money around. I did find the listing on Amazon yesterday after the case arrived by Amazon. It wouldn't have been cheaper for me to buy it from Amazon in the first place. I don't have a Prime account. I would've had to pay $6-7 for shipping.

I want to get one of these sometime to support the line. But I would be beyond shocked if the Wal-Mart in my conservative small town stocked them.
Nobody is seeing them in any of the stores yet- as far as I know of- it makes me wonder if both Target and Walmart are offering them online only...
Or is it because they're too new? They've only been out, what, 2 weeks?

The magnets were falling out and causing them to be a chocking hazard. She wants to ensure that they won't end up in the hands to children.
