That's interesting about their French name Taffeta. I didn't know that they were called Dragonfly? Kinda makes me wish we'd got a dragonfly flutter pony in bold, bright, metallic colors. :good:

I'd almost want the wings to be clear like that just so I could customize them with iridescent paints or make them look like stained glass windows.

Somebody on Facebook already found the 2nd set of Rainbows! The two unicorns where missing, though.

Makes sense, they said that the Unicorns would be released in the fall. Did they say if the case was only the 4 ponies or if there were multiples of 2 of them to make the 6?

The person who posted had 2 Tickles and 2 Confettis.

I also read in one of the comments that the earth ponies are packed with 2 Seashells and 2 Applejacks, which I hadn’t heard before.

Ooh interesting. I have only come across a a full set plus and extra bubbles so I wonder if they are always the same extra packed? Will be curious to see.

Yes, they said the wings should be iridescent. Again these are just prototypes.

Galactica - I think the original wings may fit... as the ones the had.... were original ponies. ;p

I believe so. On the box I have for Tropi and for Cloud Puff it says Poneys Libellules, and I am pretty sure that's Dragonfly Ponies..?

the wings remind me of this toy I had in the 90's:  it was a play-dough butterfly maker.  the mold pieces looked a LOT like these Bridge Direct pieces!

google is not being helpful for me right now so does anyone else remember this thing?  it was NOT play-doh brand, it was more like a craft kit.

Great picture Taffeta. :) I also hope Basic Fun adds some iridescence to the wings.  I'd love to own a MIB flutter pony someday. :lovey:

Lovesbabysquirmy I think I remember the set you're talking about. Was it Tyco's Super Dough Butterfly Maker?

I love the look of the original flutter wings but a child's toy should be able to survive being knocked over or dropped, lol. I was a really careful child and I still broke a flutter wing the very first day I got my flutters (Christmas.)  And the other wings only survived because I took them off and never played with them.

Also can you imagine the Amazon reviews if they made them like the originals.  There'd be, like, three positive reviews from collectors saying "Just like I remember!" and 500 ticked off reviews from parents saying "Broke after five minutes of play, shoddy!"

Anyway, I do hope the flutter set gets made and I hope the wings are sturdy . . . I am really excited to see the flutter set, as they seem to be stepping away from "everything in chronological order" and just going for the most iconic sets.  I hope we see Twinkle Eye ponies too!

I apologize if this has already been asked and answered somewhere, but has anyone compiled a list of all the 35th Anniversary/Classics that have been released?

Tickle looks so pretty. I always said if I saw a Tickle in nice condition I'd get her. What nicer condition could she be in but brand spankin new?

I'm a tiny bit disappointed that Basic Fun didn't take the opportunity to fix Starflower's symbols to actually be star-flowers like they're supposed to be, but oh well. Now at least I can get a nice Starflower to fix on my own without feeling like I'm ruining a vintage pony by doing so.

If people are already finding the 2nd ed. Rainbows in stores, then hopefully we'll start seeing the unicorns around summertime... I've become so spoiled by a constant stream of new retro ponies. What do they have planned for the back half of 2019 if the Flutters and "new" Parlor don't get picked up? I can't imagine they wouldn't want to do Gusty, Surprise, Posey, and the other iconic ponies of 84-85. And sea ponieeees... ;_; Could those sets be moved up from the 2020 pipeline to cover fall/winter 2019 if stores don't bite on the Flutters, or would we have a holiday season without any new retros?
