Pony Corral / Re: 35 Anniversary Collectors ponies - Thread 3!

try sun fading her, covering her hair, eyes and symbols in something like tin foil so not to fade in the sun. my retro starshine had discoloured really badly with yellow blotches over her body but after leaving her in a sunny location for a while she came up bright white again
also she worked as an air-freshner

I'll try that, thanks :) Would something like masking tape be safe for her eyes?

Is she the scented version of Starshine?  That set is prone to discoloration, presumably from the oils(?) or whatever that's mixed in or sprayed on to make the scent.  There's also a version of that set that's non-scented.

But I'll say this:  scented Starshine smells so dang good.  My favorite from that set.

She is - I didn't realise there was a non-scented version too! She smells nicer now I've washed her and aired her out - she was extremely pungent when I first opened her! I can't quite put my finger on what she smells like..it's almost kind of like plastic-y cake?  It's very sweet, whatever it is!

I am suuuper late to the party. I finally got my hands on Starshine (couldn't resist!) and she has the discolouration issue (though it's only on one side of her head/body) - is there a way to fix it or at least lessen the chances of it spreading?

She's absolutely stunning otherwise, and I got her really cheap on Ebay because her box was damaged and she had a neck gap (which has vanished since unboxing her so I guess the plastic was pushing her head out of place?) so double win  The worst part will be resisting buying any of the others...especially if I see Gusty....

I saw Soarin here at Walmart, however, every single version of him seemed to have some kind of weird yellow stain on him.  I was going to wait for a version with just a normal cutie mark, but I'm not sure if they are going to just make a regular version or not...

The side without the storyboard has his cutie mark. I imagine you could acetone off the storyboard print or just use that as the non-display side (which is what I'm doing). Sucks about the stains, though :(

Pony Corral / New Soarin brushable - ball-jointed wings!
« on: April 06, 2018, 03:37:36 PM »
Apologies if this is old news - I can't find a similar thread so forgive me if this has been posted before

So Tesco had the new Storytime brushables in today (Soarin, Bonbon, AppleJack, Rarity and Twilight, I think was the wave, I don't remember seeing any other ponies), and they were £3.75 so I sprung for Soarin because I lovelovelove that boy pegasus mold!

I got him home and opened him up and...ohmygoshohmygoshohmyGOSH

What's this cheeky boy?

He's ball-jointed! The wings have really good articulation meaning you have more than just the standard pose!

He's so gorgeous! I didn't check the others to see if they have anything similar, or if they're just solid like Twilight is. Wave B seems to be BigMac, DJ Pon-3, Starlight Glimmer, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy (going by the leaflet included), but  it's hard to tell if Rainbow or Fluttershy have articulated wings

Bonus:  BigMac in the leaflet has long hair!

Interestingly, I picked up Soarin today, and in the little leaflet that comes with him, Big Mac has long hair! I assume it's an unused prototype, but still thought it was funny.

I've gone to open the app again and it's prompting me to create an account? Er, help? I can't see a login button and I've never had this problem before - I'm going to be severely upset if I've lost two years of play :/

I had this happen to me last week. You should be able to begin the account process (fill in your age), and then confirm. It should then tell you that you already have an account, and then you should be able to select that one instead of the new one.

I don't know why this happens, it's very strange.
Aaah thank you <3 it's all back to normal (and the 4th time I've "completed" the Raven Inkwell thing. Sigh)

Uhm, so the game's been playing its "resetting you to the headband part of the quest you finished yesterday" thing and I've gone to open the app again and it's prompting me to create an account? Er, help? I can't see a login button and I've never had this problem before - I'm going to be severely upset if I've lost two years of play :/

 Missed out on a day and a half of collecting tokens as the game is registering me collecting from shops, but not assigning the ponies!

9
Which shops give you gems? I want to take advantage of that sale but only have enough for one thing and I want to make it count!

10
Oh, nice to see that in their update they still haven't fixed the bug that makes the game roll back a few hours  started the 'Collect logs' thing to go overnight because it takes six hours and this morning it's reset it  I'm already in a crappy mood because a download on our actual internet is going to take LITERAL DAYS because our DL speed is all of 0.2MB/s, so this is really faffing me off.

How about a manual save button, Gameloft, if your game isn't capable of doing this itself?

The update finally appeared! (and had the cheek to tell me it had been available for weeks). I really, really, really super hate how they've gotten rid of the zoom out option :/ and that all the icons have moved. Everything else looks nice, though, and it's nice to be given characters for the event and not have them be a few hundred gems or a Top Ten prize!

Anyone know how much he is with just the mine cart points outstanding? I haven't had a single sewing machine in 24 hours (don't have Neon Lights but have the other two) and need 9 more so debating praying that paying to skip the timers will result in more :/

I think if it's just the sewing machines you need, he is 50 gems.  If it's the mine cart points and gems, he's 100 gems.

I finally got him just now...  *phew*

Aw that's a shame :( I only need 8 machines now and the mine cart points (would be less if the game stopped this not saving progress thing), but I only have 75 gems :<  Oh well.

Well, that ended kind of abruptly :/ I might've done better if the game saved properly...Oh well.

If you don't have enough land left to expand they'll assume the quest is cleared when you run out of land.  Just do however many you have left and if for some reason it doesn't accept it as complete just tell CS.  They'll fix it for you.

Whew, that's a relief! I'll be glad when this quest is over :( Even with all of the bit shops, and a few of the gem ones, it's taking 2-4 days to save up for each square.
