Working Progress Bait to Blythe Finished girl! Updated 19 Feb!!

As a few of you have been reading, I've been working on a very bait girl, trying to bring her back to life. I got a little discouraged and was going to sell her. But I had some great enablers to keep me going. I thought I would document my progress here for anyone that is curious of the process.

I have NEVER been so happy to see a completed project. My fingers are swollen and my room smells like popcorn (hey everyone needs snacks!) but she finally has hair!

I used a bit of acetone to remove the left over paint. I did "cheat" a bit in the back, it was getting really HUGE so I skipped two rows and just did a really close together final line. So unless you go picking through the hair at the bottom back its perfect

*Brief summary of events thus far*
The bad:
I corrected some bad carving and sanded everything smooth. Her philtrum was pretty bad and carved really deep. I did the best I could to even and smooth it out.

The okay:
I have 2 oz washed and brushed beautiful off-white/cream mohair for her. It is included in the price. It's been washed and brushed out. There may still be vegetable matter still stuck at the shorn side. The hair you see on her is stuck under her hat.

The Good:
She has GORGEOUS eyelids. Done in pink and glitter and sealed with MSC (done by me). She has all new eye chips. Two pair of brainworm (turquoise and lilac) as well as two sets of hand made glitter resin chips (one set white, one set pink). She also has new eyelashes. Her body is in excellent condition with the special nail polish. She has sleep eyes with ribbon pulls, her yellow SBB ring and a cute wooden guitar on her sleep string.

She had very bad carving on her philtrum that was rather deep. I widened the groove and managed to get the sharp cuts and scuffs out of her face.

Finished cleaning the mohair, pic below. The left side was only brushed and not rewashed. I did dampen the whole lot to spring the curl back up after taking this picture. It weighs in at exactly 2 oz and averages about 6" in length

11 Feb Update....
I'm about half way done with her hair now. This is a LONG process but I think it's going to be very worth it once it's done.

This is at the four hour mark. I'm working on her off and on. I've discovered that making plugs AND then putting them in is much faster. After this bout, I conditioned the hair that's been installed so far and its forming perfect tiny ringlets. She's going to turn out to be a very old fashioned girl I think.

Don't I know it?! I'm just glad you're so happy with her. WIthout you constantly poking me she'd probably would have ended up in a box... in the attic.... Its SO easy to spray matt! Or send her over. It's not like I'm not going to have a HUGE package to send you
