I'd never ordered from Toys R Us Canada before, so I fully expected to be waiting a week for the couple of dolls that I ordered from them two days ago - but the dolls arrived before I even had time to post that I was waiting for them! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginMore photos here, if you're curious.

I was looking for outfits on Mandarake and came across a Volks Yo-SD Tinatsu. She doesn't have her original eyes (but she did have her original box, paperwork and wig), but for her age she looked good - although it probably helps that I like the way Volks resin yellows - so I decided to go for it.  It's been a few years since I've ordered from there so I'm wondering if the shipping will happen as quickly as they used to. Well, I just bought a Tangkou doll. I've been aware of the existence of these dolls for years, but never really had any interest in them... and then, earlier this week, there came an auction, and for a reason unknown to me, I got totally obsessed  after looking up pictures, complying lists and reading reviews for days, I knew I'll have to bid. I am not happy with the price I paid (it's not a bad price for the doll, I'm just a little angry with myself because I am currently saving up for a J-doll, and if I don't deduct this money spent from the savings, that feels like cheating, but if I deduct, I fear the desired doll will sell before I can save up  ), so I'm really looking forward to see how I'll feel about her once she arrives. Right now I'm feeling neutral and excited at the same time, and I kinda only expected the latter.
I hope she charms you when she arrives!

I have her! As kids my sister and I each got one of these (or rather one of the birthflower ponies - my sister actually got the November one), and these days I have both of them. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHer hair needs some work, but otherwise she's in pretty good condition.

I'd assumed that I was going to be in for a least a month-long wait for my SooSoo Toys Paranormal Detective (which is basically a non-licensed John Constantine character doll), but he arrived in less than a week! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI think this is the fastest I've had anything arrive from China!

I'd been playing Assassin's Creed Origins (which I hadn't played when it first came out) but then I realized there was new content for Assassin's Creed Odyssey so I switched back over into that.

My credit card gives me airline points (and double points for certain stores and types of restaurant). It's brilliant. I would definitely recommend it to almost everyone (not people who wouldn't remember to pay their bill on time or who would be tempted to carry a balance, but everyone else).
