Help identifying who made a custom
« on: November 05, 2016, 11:27:19 AM »
I found a pony at the thrift store today in a bag of ponies, including a Mimic! Anyway, the custom has a celtic shamrock on her butt and on her foot is Alkarin 2003. I honestly tried googling the name, but nothing came up. There are also 2 other ponies that are of the same generation, they have writing on their foot too. I don't know what it means. I will upload photos in a moment. I hope someone can help me find the maker of the custom pony. I know if my customs found their way to a thrift store I'd like to know. I want them to atleast have the option of taking the pony back since they made it.
These were in the bag too but I don't know who they are

It's a shame to see that such  beautiful custom went straight to thrift store, but hey, she's got a good home now so thats a great thing. :D I love aikarin's work, you're lucky to have a piece of it.

This IS indeed THE very same pony I have. She does not have her box nor her accessories, but she is the very same. She has her ribbons in her hair and everything.
I just emailed Aikarin and told her I found her pony. Do you know if she lived in Va?
On her website it says Celtic Twist is not for sale, so how on earth did she find her way to a Goodwill?

That really is a shame. I wonder if she would remake those accessories, it always hurts me to see things getting incomplete.
I liked her customs a lot back then, too.

That is insane that a known custom would be randomly found at a thrift store! I really wonder how in the world it got there! Share with us if you solve this mystery! :)

I hope the mystery does get solved. She was in a bag with 3 ponies, piccolo and golden delicious and a mimic. The piccolo and golden delicious are numbered and dressed in Disney pony clothes.

o.0 Was it a custom Mimic? How weird for a real G1 to show up in a bag with some G3's and a G3 custom.
Thank you Thimble for my amazingly cute avatar!

I wonder if the custom was sold and something happened to her owner. Someone knowledgeable about MLP would never donate a Mimic and it sounds like the customizer was popular enough one of their customs wouldn't be donated by a knowledgeable person either.

Actually, this is a rather creepy story. Just HOW DID that custom end up there?

I hope you can get a hold of her. I am very intrigued and would like to know.
