Pony Corral / Re: What happened to your childhood pony?« on: June 13, 2020, 06:43:14 AM »
When I was 13 I sold them all for 20p each at the school jumble sale.
I started collecting when I was 25 and some of the first ponies I bought were the ones I used to have. 6

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: What Are Your Best Care Bear Memories?« on: March 11, 2016, 04:53:17 AM »
I never had any Care Bears when I was little, I did however LOVE the first 2 movies. My mom and dad would rent VHS tapes every week. They would get a big pile of horror movies and I got to choose 1 VHS tape for myself. The kids section in the video rental shop was very small so Care Bears or Care Bears II were often picked.
My cousin had a Cheer Bear figure which I always wanted (and now have (plus some friends)). 8
Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Who or what is this? Care Bear-looking bear toy ♥« on: March 11, 2016, 04:33:12 AM »
My guess is that it is not official Care Bears, but made to look like them (in other words a fake). There were many of these about in the 80's.
I have a Popple clip on (also fake):- visitors can't see pics , please register or login EDIT: Just found this interesting read http://www.childofthe1980s.com/2010/03/08/clip-ons/ 9
Pony Corral / Re: Discovering "new" ponies« on: February 09, 2016, 11:15:04 PM »
I don't think there are any G1 surprises let for me now (accept for nirvanas), but I remember just before I started collecting how I was amazed at all the different types of G1s (my childhood collection was small and stopped in 1987). The first G1 I added to my collection was Whizzer because I was curious about the Twinkle Eyes.
It was a surprise discovering Sweet Clover after collecting for many years! I fell in love with her straight away and bought both variants soon after. 10

Pony Corral / Re: How do YOU keep track of your collection?« on: September 19, 2015, 03:06:46 AM »
I used to use a spreadsheet but now I use an app called Collectors by Sort It! and I absolutely love it!
The only collection you get for free is "books" but it is not that expensive to unlock "action figures" and well worth it. 13

The bubble bath bottle is not worth a great deal, especially with the damage. I would not rehair. Maybe $6
I'm not an expert on Dream Beauties, but I know that they are rare and sought after. Maybe $25-$40 15
