The only cure for Kenner Fever...

Is to bring one home of course!

This is the second time I've caved to the fever. The first time, I brought home an almost picture perfect condition side part blonde. Well she was perfect after I spa'd her hair. She lost a bit of her quirkiness to me after I spa'd her. SO she went off traveling the world. I knew when I bought her she wasn't really what I wanted. What I wanted was a bobbed Raven girl in need of a lot of help. Help, that maybe she couldn't get... So I waited..and waited... (mostly patiently) until little Emily came up for adoption. She was perfect. A baity girl. She had bobbed hair and it was dark! Her knees were broken and she had a yellowed and damaged face up. PERFECT.

After a small spa time yesterday, a wash and boil perm for her hair, which was already much softer and amazing than I expected. And several hours of sanding...

She still needs her eyeballs whitened, a bit of her replacement lipstick still is stuck in her lip groove and there is still a bit of yellowing at the bottom eyelid area. I love that she's quirky- she has a personality. That's really coming through. I'm a bit sad/pleased about her original eyeshadow. I was going to leave it (the lips and blush were replacements) but it left her face so yellow I went through with sanding it off. I plan on giving her a soft pastel face up and leave it unsealed. Can't loose that Kenner glow.

She's gorgeous, you're right about her having a personality! There's just not much life in minty older dolls, I always feel they've missed out on their own history a bit by not being played with.

Doesn't she? I love seeing her come back to life in front of me. She was adorable and quirky when she got here, but she's even more so now.
